Make Money With Google Adsense

How to Make Money With Google Adsense

Siteclipse is an internet-based service which allows anyone to create a website. Its interface is easy to use for beginners, intermediate to advanced users. Many businesses also use the service.

Steps

  1. It's money for nothing!

  2. Siteclipse(FREE WITH ADVERTS) now offers you the chance to earn half the money generated by the ads on your site. That's right, you get a free site and free money!

  3. (Remember if you are on a paid Siteclipse pack, you can ad AdSense to your site and keep 100% of the money - this is only for the "FREE" guys).

  4. Siteclipse has teamed up with Google to allow you to share the advertising revenue generated by the Google Adwords we place on your site. Using Google's new AdSense API, Siteclipse's sitemaker can create a unique Google AdSense ID for your site that will allow you to login to Google and monitor the number of ad views and click throughs on your site.

  5. There are 5 levels of service: Free, Lite, Standard, Plus and Max. Each package offers tools such as message boards, jukeboxes, videos, directories, calendars, chat rooms and feedback forms.

  6. The free package is supported by advertising, and has the e-commerce tools disabled. Everything else is enabled. The Lite package is the same as the free, but without fixed advertising. The site does permit inclusion of optional advertising using some Google tools which can potentially generate income for the user.

  7. The other 3 packages have everything enabled and no fixed adverts (but includes Google advertising tools); they are differentiated by their storage space and the number of sites that they enable users to build.

Ngo Bao Chau

Mathematician Ngo Bao Chau, who made one of Time magazine’s top 10 scientific discoveries of 2009, has accepted a faculty appointment at the University of Chicago. Ngô will become a professor of mathematics, effective Sept. 1, 2010.Ngo, 37, came to Time’s attention for decisive advances he recently made in two central areas of modern mathematics: number theory and representation theory. He proved a basic result, a matching conjecture called ‘the fundamental lemma,’ so named because it represents the central gate for progress in the Langlands program. Native of Hanoi, North Vietnam, Ngô received his doctoral degree from Université Paris-Sud in 1997. Currently a member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, N.J., Ngô received the Oberwolfach Prize in 2007, the Prix Sophie Germain de l’Académie des Sciences de Paris in 2007 and the Clay Research Award in 2004.In 1979 the Canadian-American mathematician Robert Langlands developed an ambitious and revolutionary theory that connected two branches of mathematics called number theory and group theory. In a dazzling set of conjectures and insights, the theory captured deep symmetries associated with equations that involve whole numbers, laying out what is now known as the Langlands. The lemma is a conjectured identity between orbital integrals for two groups, e.g., the unitary groups U(n) and U(p)xU(q), where p+q = n. Combined with the Arthur-Selberg trace formula, it enables one to prove relations between automorphic forms on different groups and is a key step towards proving links between certain automorphic forms and Galois representations. This is one of the aims of the Langlands program, which seeks a far-reaching unification of ideas in number theory and representation theory. The result of Laumon and Ngô uses the equivariant cohomology approach introduced by Goresky, Kottwitz, and MacPherson, who proved the lemma in the split and equal valuation case. The proof for the unitary case, which is significant for applications, requires many new ideas, including Laumon's deformation strategy and Ngô's purity result which is based on a geometric interpretation of the endoscopy theory of Langlands and Kottwitz in terms of the Hitchin fibration. 1. Short curriculum vitae of Ngo Bao Chuoa•1972 born in Hanoi, Vietnam•1990 moves to France•1992-1995 student at the ENS, rue d’Ulm•1993-1997 doctoral studies at U. de Paris Sud, with G. Laumon•1997 dissertation ‘Le lemme fondamental de Jacquet et Ye’•1998-2004 charg´ de recherches au CNRS, at Univ. de Paris Norde•2004 Habilitation•2004– Professor U. de Paris-Sud•2006– IAS, Princeton•distinctions: Clay Research Award 2004, Speaker at ICM 2006.The conjecture of Langlands and Shelstad lies in the field of automorphic forms. Inthe beginning of the 20th century this theory was the theory of modular forms, i.e., ofholomorphic functions on the upper half plane transforming in a prescribed way under theaction of discrete groups of conformal motions. It was only in the 1950’s, under the influ-ence of I. Gelfand and Harish-Chandra, that the theory of automorphic forms on arbitrarysemi-simple Lie groups, or semi-simple algebraic groups, was developed. In the 1960’s thetheory was dramatically refocused through the introduction by R. Langlands of his func-toriality principle. This principle is a conjecture that stipulates correspondences betweenautomorphic forms on semi-simple groups which are related by a homomorphism betweentheir Langlands dual groups. This principle is surely among the most ingenious ideas ofthe last century and constitutes the deepest statement about automorphic forms known today.

The Work At Home Experiment - Monetize Your Blog !

Here we go ! The big tab is of the utmost importance ! The "Monetize" tab in your Blogspot.com or Blogger.com blog "Dashboard".

First you have your AdSense Overview. this shows your payment history, or at least what your estimated earnings should be for the current time or both. It will show you what kind of money making program you running with AdSense, like "AdSense for Content" and the "Affiliate Program". I think you can choose both, but right now, I'm just interested in the AdSense for Content program.

The reason I am just going with the Content program is because it allows you to make money with visitors to your blog or site to just click on the ads. Nobody has to by anything. The ads change all the time depending on what Google's algorithm has determined they should be by what you are writing in your blog or the content overall for your site. If I were talking a lot about boats, I'm pretty sure you would be seeing ads related to boats or boat accessories. Then you, the reader of the blog, would click on those links if you were interested, and I would get credit for it. The credit is a certain amount determined by the several factors, including what the advertiser is paying to Google, and even if Google GOT paid. Google analyzes all the clicks or hits to make sure they are legit. If they are, you get paid for them.

I also have my blog set for image ads and/or banners. If I have this right, and I think I do, you can also get paid for the number of impressions, or the number of times a banner ad happens to show up on your site. I think the banner ads don't even have to be clicked. You are getting paid for them because the content you were writing about lured the banner ads onto your site, and since they are taking up space and have the opportunity to be displayed on YOUR site that you control, your getting paid to advertise for those companies. I think that's pretty cool, considering you can have a very high traffic site that gets lots of impressions. And it is less intrusive to the customer and easier on you. To me, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Especially at this stage of the game. I don't want to wait for someone to buy something to get paid. It might be a bigger commission, but to me it is still a gamble. I'll do it later when I have even more traffic coming to this site.

The "Google Affiliate Program" is just that. You get paid for what people buy, but that is what they have to do...BUY ! Again, I'll do this later since a buck is a buck, but I am reserving my space for the easier buck at the moment.

Now, the "AdSense Overview" shows the stats for both those programs, like the number of page impressions, how many cliks you have, the page CTR, the page eCPM and the earnings, or rather your "estimated earnings".

So what is page CTR ? Google defines it as Page CTR (Clickthrough Rate): The number of ad clicks divided by the number of impressions for the page of ads that appears when a link unit is clicked.

And what is page eCPM ? Google defines it as Page eCPM (Effective Cost Per Thousand Impressions): Calculated by dividing earnings by number of page impressions and multiplying. This makes it easier to compare multiple sites to see which are performing better.

This is the only report I have seen so far, probably because I just got started. But you can get other reports in links below that go straight to your the login for your Google AdSense account. And maybe I failed to mention that as well. You have to sign up for the AdSense program. But no worries. You can do that right through the blog site dashboard when you get to it. It is one more thing you use your Gmail email account for.

The other sub-tabs for the Monetize section of the "Dashboard" are AdSense for Feeds and "Amazon Associates". The feeds, I believe, are for the RSS style of feeds and AdSense can add links to it. Haven't done this yet myself, but I will let you know when I do and tell you all about it. The other part is the "Amazon Associates" tab, and this is the one I am having trouble with. That pesky "associates ID". You would think that Amazon would have made it little better to understand, since you have a blog ID and a Google ID. I just can't seem to get things to connect yet. And I DO want things to connect because I want to get credit, and cash, for the things I am promoting on my blog. Otherwise, why bother, right ?

That is about it for now on this subject. In the next couple of posts, I want to talk about other affiliate links and adding PayPal to your site.

So watch out for the "Amazon Associates" tab. Go to Amazon first and explore their affiliates program info first to get acquainted with terms and what to look out for and see how the relationship between Amazon and Google and the blog site works. I didn't even know, when I was starting the blog in the first place, that I would have the opportunity to do anything with Amazon. Otherwise I would have done the same thing I just told you to do. Maybe I will get it straightened out, maybe not. Either way, I'll let you know what I did and how it turns out. That is about it for now on this subject. In the next couple of posts, I want to talk about other affiliate links and adding PayPal to your site. Just proceed with caution when you get this area, and if YOU get figured out and know what they are referring to, let us know here and comment on it. I could use the help on this one !

Once again, speaking of help, please help continue this blog by donating via the PayPal link in the upper right corner of this blog. Your donations are badly needed, and ANYTHING you donate is greatly appreciated ! Thank you !

Seven Reasons to Know Puyallup History

“Seven Reasons to Know Puyallup History”
By Hans Zeiger
Speech to Puyallup Rotary
January 6, 2010

I remember getting out of college a few years ago and thinking—I’ve studied a lot about the idea of community and tradition, but I just don’t feel the sense of connection and place in my own community that I should.

But before I did anything about that, I had this other interest in World War II history. I was watching Band of Brothers, and if you’ve seen it you know how there are interviews with the actual veterans of the European war in the beginning of the episodes. And I thought, boy, there are guys like that around Puyallup who won’t be with us much longer. So I started out in December of 2007 sitting down for about 5 hours with the late Paul Harmes, and he just opened my eyes to a great project. I thought, I want to write the story of one community during World War II. So I’ve been working on that now for a couple years and I’ve just been blessed with a deepening understanding of this community and the kinds of people who’ve lived here, not only war heroes, but decent and generous people from all walks of life.

The first reason to know local history is that it reveals our character. Puyallup means “The Generous People,” and I like to think that we live up to our name. Ezra Meeker set an early example as a philanthropist who gave a lot of land to the city and to churches. Warner Karshner led the fundraising drive for the Puyallup Valley Hospital, which became Good Sam, and civic groups and individuals did their part to build that hospital. In the course of my interviews I’ve come across some cool stories, like the manager of Queen City Grocery in the 30s and 40s, Marty Martinson, who volunteered his lunch hour to deliver groceries to shut-ins around town. And then there were the Puyallup families that opened their homes after the attack on Pearl Harbor to share Christmas dinner with the men of the 260th Anti-Aircraft Regiment who were far from home and temporarily stationed in Puyallup.

These are things that still go on, and the Lions Club is a big part of that.

Second, roots actually do count for something around here. For example, there is a very selective group of people who seem to join the Fair Board of Directors—namely, descendents of the people who were on the original Fair Board of Directors. Hence there have been several generations of Corlisses and Hogans and Elvinses on the board.

Now, some of you who grew up around here know that there’s even historical roots on the South Hill. Ma’s Place and Firgrove Elementary and the Fruitland Grange are some of the old landmarks. I’m a member of a group called the South Hill Historical Society, where I think I am the youngest member by about 60 years. And being a Zeiger means that I’m a newcomer at the meetings. You see, the Zeigers showed up on the South Hill in—1952. By then the Glasers and the Patzners and the Barths and the Mosolfs and the Thuns—had already been stuck in Meridian traffic for several decades.

But I was talking with my aunt Sally the other day about how it’s so important to welcome newcomers. We should always remember that there is a place for newcomers in P-town. I remember talking with a retired carpenter named Manford Hogman and he told me about growing up in poverty in Illinois during the Great Depression and then coming out here with his family in a jalopy around 1939. And he said there were a couple guys who really made him feel welcome at Puyallup High School—and he named those guys: Ray Glaser and Eddie Myers. Both of those guys by the way gave their lives in World War II. Eddie Myers had been the quarterback of the Puyallup Vikings and the class president of the class of 1940. The lesson of our history is that there is goodness in helping outsiders and newcomers to feel welcome.

The third reason to know local history is that it repeats itself. If you think that things are divisive on the city council now, you should go back 120 years ago when Ezra Meeker and J.P. Stewart were at war for the future of the new city. Ezra was our first mayor, but as with most things he undertook, he had strong opposition. Now you’ll recall that Ezra built this town on hops, as well as his own fortune. There’s an interesting little contradiction in that because Ezra was a teetotaler and a temperance activist. So when he ran for reelection, his opponent put a keg of whiskey out on the sidewalk along Meridian with a label, “Courtesy of E Meeker.” The temperance voters weren’t too pleased, and Ezra Meeker lost his reelection.

The fourth reason to know local history is that it’s pretty funny. Ezra Meeker actually had a real sense of humor. To those of you who’ve ever taken flack for living in a place that has a name that’s hard to pronounce, you might appreciate this passage from a book that Ezra Meeker wrote about settling Puyallup. This is Ezra’s apology to us:

But such a name! I consider it no honor to the man who named the town (now city) of Puyallup. I accept the odium attached to inflicting that name on suffering succeeding generations by first platting a few blocks of land into village lots and recording them under the name Puyallup. I have been ashamed of the act ever since. The first time I went East after the town was named and said to a friend in New York that our town was named Puyallup he seemed startled.
“Named WHAT?”
“Puyallup,” I said, emphasizing the word.
“That’s a jaw breaker,” came the response. “How do you spell it?”
“P-u-y-a-l-l-u-p,” I said.
“Let me see—how did you say you pronounced it?”
Pouting out my lips …. and emphasizing every letter and syllable so as to bring out the Peww for Puy, and the strong emphasis on the al, and cracking my lips together to cut off the lup, I finally drilled my friend so he could pronounce the word, yet fell short of the elegance of the scientific pronunciation.
Then when I crossed the Atlantic and across the old London bridge to the borough, and there encountered the factors of the hop trade on that historic ground, the haunts of Dickens in his day; and when we were bid to be seated to partake of the viands of an elegant dinner; and when I saw the troubled look of my friend, whose lot it was to introduce me to the assembled hop merchants, and knew what was weighing on his mind, my sympathy went out to him but remained helpless to aid him.
“I say—I say—let me introduce to you my American friend from—my American friend from—from—from—“
And when, with an imploring look he visibly appealed to me for help, and finally blurted out:
“I say, Meeker, I cawn’t remember that blarsted name—what is it?”
And when the explosion of mirth came with:
“All the same, he’s a jolly good fellow—a jolly good fellow.”
I say, when all this had happened, and much more besides, I could yet feel resigned to my fate…
Then when, at night at the theaters, the jesters would say:
“Whar was it, stranger, you said you was from?”
“PUY-AL-LUP!”
“Oh you did?” followed by roars of laughter all over the house. All this I could hear with seeming equanimity.
But when letters began to come addressed “Pewlupe,” “Polly-pup,” “Pull-all-up,” “Pewl-a-loop,” and finally “Pay-all-up,” then my cup of sorrow was full and I was ready to put on sackcloth and ashes.

The fifth reason to know local history is that you and I need heroes who we can be like. It’s well and good to look up to the Washingtons and Lincolns and the pro-athletes and Hollywood stars, but most of us have to figure out a way to live heroically in the setting we’ve been blessed to enjoy. Some would say that you’re not succeeding if you’re not a celebrity, but it’s important that we recognize our hometown heroes as well. As I began to look into the World War II generation in this community, I found some heroes of my own. There’s a lot who I could describe, but I guess I’ll briefly mention three who were neighbors when they were growing up.

If you head down Pioneer to where it intersects with Fruitland, you’ll find the neighborhood where Eddie Myers, Bobby Bigelow, and Al Tresch grew up. If you went back to the 1930s, Eddie’s dad and Bobby’s dad worked at the experimental station, and Al’s dad Robert Tresch was a Swiss immigrant dairyman who owned a farm from 17th to the experimental station all the way back to the railroad tracks. Eddie was a popular leader, Bobby was a quiet boy who loved the outdoors, and Al was the town bully. I mentioned Eddie Myers already—he was a little guy but a heck of a quarterback when Jigs Dahlberg was coaching and the stands were packed on Fridays at Viking Field. Bobby was introverted but he loved wandering around in the woods and wanted to be a forest ranger. Al dropped out of the fifth grade at Maplewood and was over 300 pounds by the time he should have been in high school. Everyone knew him as “Fat Tresch.” He ran off to join the Army in 1939 and by 1941 found himself in the losing fight for Coreggidor in the Philippines. In the course of that fight, Tresch and another man snuck around at high risk to their lives to take out a Japanese machine gun nest, and they earned the Silver Star. But his fight wasn’t over. He was taken prisoner by Japanese in Bataan Death March and spent the next four years in captivity.

Meanwhile, Eddie became an officer in the 417th Infantry and was beloved by his men. One of his former officers described him on a Bill Moyers special as someone who was like a father to his men. He led his men through the winter of 1944-45, the Battle of the Bulge. But he was killed by a mortar shell on February 17, 1945 in a town called Welshbillag just across the Zauer River.

Bobby joined the Army Cavalry as a Medic. Not long after his friend Eddie’s death, he was crossing the Jones Bridge over the Pasig River to liberate Manila and vindicate the sacrifices of men like his neighbor Al Tresch. And as he bent down to help a wounded comrade, he was hit by a bullet in the head. That final posture of this quiet hero is significant if you look at the statue of a soldier in Pioneer Park. Bobby died, Eddie died, but Fat Tresch survived and returned home as the hero of Bataan.

A sixth reason to know local history is to avoid repeating the bad parts. It was ten years ago this year that Puyallup High School was embroiled in racial tensions that revealed some ugly realities about how we deal with diversity. There was a time in this town when real estate agents wouldn’t show homes to black families. Very early in our history, there is a record of one lone black man who was in Puyallup doing menial work, and people referred to him with a derogatory nickname on the basis of his race. And you know, one of the things I’ve become very aware of in the last couple of years is the impact of the internment of Japanese Americans on this area. It changed the community. Fife the most. As I see it, it wasn’t so much the imprisonment of American citizens that was the greatest injustice as it was the removal of them from soil that they loved and that they farmed productively. I remember going to visit Bob Mizukami, the former mayor of Fife and a former internee, and he told me that there’s one person whose name I should bring up to make sure that he’s discredited in history. He was the editor of the Sumner Newspaper and a local politician named Nifty Garrett. Garrett was the local leader of the Remember Pearl Harbor Society. They displayed anti-Japanese signs in store windows. In the paper they printed the names of those businesses under a banner that opposed the return of Japanese-Americans to the area.

But amid the sins and scars of history, you have to also locate the better angels of our nature. I was touched when Frank Hanawalt told me a story about his father, the longtime schools superintendent Paul Hanawalt. Hanawalt went to the relocation authorities and requested a brief leave for several Japanese-American students of Puyallup High School who were to graduate with the Class of 1942. His request was approved. On graduation day in June, the superintendent drove to the gates of the Fairgrounds, where he picked up Rosie Takemura and Yukio Takeuchi and took them to the high school auditorium to walk with their class.

When the exercises had finished, Rosie and Yukio made their way back out to Mr. Hanawalt’s car, which he would drive back to the Fairgrounds. But first, he made a detour up Pioneer and stopped at Martin’s Confectionary. There, he treated the new Viking alums to Mr. Martin’s homemade ice cream. We should not forget such moments in the history of our community.

And finally, I would say that the seventh reason to know your local history is that human beings need a sense of place. You need to have someplace that you can call home. I’ve heard somebody say that the more things change, the more we have to depend on things that never change. And we live in a time when things are changing all around us. I figure change can be a good thing as long as we have some memory of where we’ve come from to put everything in perspective and to give us a sense that not only does this place belong to us, but we kind of belong here.

There’s this tension between change and tradition that is best embodied in Ezra Meeker. He was somebody who was always ahead of his time, always exploring the next business opportunity, always looking for a new adventure. But in his older years, he wanted the younger generation to remember the pioneers. When I’ve given tours of the Meeker Mansion to fourth grade classes, I ask them to remember what Puyallup would have been like when it was a dense forest planted into the rich volcanic soil. And then to imagine how it turned into a town within a couple generations. Then I try to impress on them that our town isn’t really all that old, and that our history is still being made. You and I are a part of it.

Part of my love for history runs in my blood. About 25 or 30 years ago, Bob Minnich and my great grandpa Ernest lobbied the city council to save a giant Black Walnut tree from being torn out along 7th Street NW. And sure enough, that great old tree still stands there today as a testimony to the dedication of those men. There’s a curved sidewalk that winds around the tree, and I often think of that as the kind of legacy that’s worth leaving. You know, it’s nice to think that we could change the world, but I think we should consider ourselves blessed if we have the chance to make an impact on just a few lives. Rotary does that every day, and I can’t think of a better example of this community’s generosity and goodness than what you’re doing. So thanks for letting me speak with you today.

alternative ways to earn

I have quite a lot of friends connected in some insurance companies and they keep on telling me to try to be a part time agent for extra income. Making an additional earning is a good idea especially during these trying times. The problem is I don’t really have those sales skills. I find it hard to negotiate with other people, much more encourage them to opt insurance policies.

Back in the old days, I was asked to attend a “business” forum by a friend. Not knowing it was some sort of a “pyramiding” organization, I came. The income opportunity was great and I was tempted to join but still I declined. Not because it is “pyramiding” but because I thought my convincing abilities are not effective.

Now, less than one and a half month before my son’s birthday, I am thinking of buying the idea. Why not try and take my chance on selling insurance? I may start with personal, health or death plans. Or perhaps an educational policy, appliance protection and car insurance.

I’ve got an idea! Did I tell you my wife's work is engaged in heavy equipment rentals? Maybe they need an HVG insurance for their trucks, bulldozers and cranes?

Oh my, it’s 2010 and I’ve got that same old problem – MONEY

Here is a quick look at my Adsense numbers for today!

It is my intended goal to have at least a 10% click-through-rate.....

As you can see from the screenshot above my ctr rate is better than I expected!

As an average number I have seen postings from others saying that a 2% click-through-rate is what one should expect to get on the average.

Of course having a high ctr means that visitors to my site are clicking on the ads which means that either the ads are relative to the content on my sites and / or the ads that are appearing on my sites are appealing enough to get visitors to click on them. I also did some research on my sites to find what keywords that were related to my site were getting as far as web traffic was concerned. I made a customized list Of popular keyword & search terms for my own sites and you are seeing the results from the screen shot above. Basically what this involves is finding the most popular keyword search terms that people are typing into the search engines and putting those keywords in my site(s). I also do this kind of work for my clients as well but I also have done this for myself.

If you are having a low ctr rate with your blog it means that the visitors to your site are not clicking on the adsense ads that are appearing on your site. There could be a number of reasons for this. The google adsense ads that are appearing on your site may not be related to the content on your site and that is one reason that visitors to your site are not clicking on the ads. To solve this problem you have to use more popular keyword search terms that are related to the content of your site(s) and then watch as your click-thru rate(s) increase.

Another thing that you should take a look at are your ecpm rates as well. The ecpm rates mean the average cost per thousand clicks. It's a very complicated thing but to make it more simple, the higher your ecpm rates are that means the higher you earnings per click! As you can see from the screen shot above my ecpm rates are at least $50 or better!

So how do you get higher ecpm rates? The answer is that you have to put more high-paying keyword content into your site(s) so that you will earn more per click when visitors to your site(s) click on your Google Adsense Ads.

I have been using my own high-paying keyword list to put more higher-paying keyword content into my sites and you can see the results that I have gotten by looking at the screen shot above.

So if you want to earn more Google Adsense earnings per click then you will have to put more higher-paying keyword content into your site(s) so that you will be earning more per click.

Adsense Tipsy

How do I get my ads up there with AdSense Ads?

Advertise in
AdWords. And choose the setting that lets your ads show up on publisher sites. (I think it's set to yes by default unless you change it.)

What are the rules about having images next to ads?

Google says....

Because ads are dynamic, publishers should be very careful not to place images that could deceive users directly above the ads. Highly general "stock" images are less likely to be deceptive than very specific images that suggest a specific offering at the advertiser's site.

Maintain a visible border around ad units if you choose to experiment with placing images directly above the ad units. While I realize that this may reduce the effectiveness of the technique, it's important to strike a balance between the potential to overcome ad blindness and the possibility of confusing users.

Contrasting color border around the Adsense Ad block or a simple HR code between them will work. Don't make the images look like there part of the ads. E-mail Google if you're not sure.

Do they tell you when they send a check out?

Yes! Check the
Payment History.

Is it OK to insert Adsense after the first post in forums?

Yes.

I've been denied twice from joining. WHY?

Content! Content! Content! And read the TOS. For example, if the site is about firearms, xxx, gambling, or warez, even if it's just for example firearms reviews, that might set off the deny button. In short, (List made by
alang)....

1. Site under construction.
2. Not enough pages.
3. Not enough traffic.
4. Site that doesn't comply with policy.

Don't give up. Many people have had to sign up a few times before getting accepted. And try to get a good PR!

What if I get denied when I sign-up and Google says I got banned before, yet I've never used AdSense?

If you get this E-Mail......

Your AdSense account was found to be related to an account previously disabled for invalid click activity. A publisher who has an account that has been disabled for invalid clicks is not allowed further participation in the AdSense programme.

and you've never used AdSense before, try to figure out WHY they might be thinking you were once banned. IP Address? Owning a domain that was once owned by a user that cheated AdSense?? Once you figure out the cause, send them a nicely worded explanation, and cross your fingers.

Are Adsense stats a good source to check your traffic?

Note really. Many visitors, including FireFox users can block AdSense ads.
One user get's twice the pageviews in awstat and webalizer than show up in the AdSense reports.

How do I add AdSense to my feeds?

Sign up for the beta. If you get approved, Log in, click the AdSense for content tab and under Ad Type, select AdSense for feeds unit.

Can I change the colors?

AdSense allows you to have up to 4 color variations for each variable for which you can specify color. For example.

google_color_border = ["628098","628098","000000","000000"];
google_color_link = ["000000","BBB90C","BBB90C","628098"];
google_color_url = ["000000","628098","000000","000000"];
google_color_text = ["628098","628098","000000","000000"];

Great for overcoming ad blindness.

OMG my CTR is way up, Google must be doing something! Am I going to get banned?

It won't last for long if you keep going bonkers over your earnings. Studies show that the more time you spend looking at your earnings, the less money you make. Get a life. Go work on your site!

OMG my CTR and eCPM is way down, Google must be cutting payouts for everyone, who else is seeing the same thing?

You need help. Get rid of the pot and call 1-800-Get-A-Life.

How much can I earn?

Look at this thread.

How long does it take to start earning money?

As soon as you place ads on your site, get visitors, and enough visitors to get clicks. Then as soon as you make $100.00 you'll get paid a month after the current month ends that you passed $100.00 and enter your PIN.

When do I get paid?

Google will send your check or EFT payment within approximately 30 days of the end of the month after you make US$100, unless a payment hold exists or unless otherwise agreed to in writing (including electronic mail).

For example, if you earn $40 in January and $70 in February, we'll send payment to you by the end of March.

If your account balance is less than US$100 at the end of the month, we'll roll your earnings over to the following month, until the payment threshold is reached. Balances include the combined earnings of AdSense for content and AdSense for search pages.

If you get the invalid clicks E-mail, you will not get another payment from Google unless you get reinstated.

Why can't I sign-up for EFT?

You don't live in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States.

Other people are getting the Payment In Progress message but I'm not. What's up with that???

Not every one get's the message at the same time. Google is known for giving the message to those getting paid by check first, then a few days letter the EFT payments start getting progressed. If you don't get the message by the end of the month, E-Mail Google, if you made over $100 last month.

I didn't get my check. Can I be reissued a check?

Yes. Make a request 25 days after the check was issued. If you receive checks by Secured Express Delivery, you can request a reissue of any month's payment after the 5th of the next month.

To request a new check, E-mail Google at adsense-support@Google.com and include the number, date, and amount of the check that you'd like reissued.

I didn't get my PIN.

E-Mail Google two weeks after they send it. Google sends it when you make $50.

How do I change my payee information?

You can't. You can only cancel the account and get a new one.

What do I do if my EFT payment fails?

Look at the notice on your Payment History page. Reentering your bank info can fix some issues, or you may have to contact Google.

Do I have to pay taxes on the money I earn?

If you are in the USA, yes. Get TurboTax. You may need to pay quarterly or get fines. As for other countries, odds are you do. Check with a CPA in your country.

Are my stats reflected in real time?

Reports on impressions and clicks are usually updated every fifteen to thirty minutes and occasionally there will be a delay of 24 hours or more in the reports you see on the website, according to Google. Though it usually looks like it's more like a few hours delay, on average.

Does high CTR mean elimination from Adsense?

Probably not. It shows your site is very optimized. It's when you have a massive spike that you want to worry about it. One thing to worry about is getting click-bombed. If you average 100 clicks a day, and suddenly get a 500 click day, contact Google immediately.

What is a good CTR?

It depends on the kind of site you got. Some sites have trouble getting a 1% CTR. Others have no trouble getting over 10% CTR. Check the links at the end of the FAQ for tips on optimizing your site.

Why does the page eCPM goes down as day progresses?

The ads which pay higher can end because they reach their daily limit. -
microtony

CTR over 100% - what's up with that?

Visitors can click the ads more than once, like when they don't find what they want after the first click.

I clicked my own Ads by mistake!

Don't panic. No ones perfect. Many of us have done that. If you are really worried, you can E-mail them.

How do I keep from getting terminated? - valeriya

Do use the Adsense approved formats only.

Do keep your click-through data and income private.

Don't display Adsense on registration or thank you pages.

Don't use Adsense code and a competitor's content-targeted advertisement on the same page.

Don't encourage anyone else to click on ads.

Don't click on the site's own ads ever.

Read the Adsense policies and terms.

The easiest method an account can be banned is by a Webmaster clicking on the site's own ads.

Spikes in click-through percentages are hefty red flags. Those are the changes worth becoming proactive over by emailing Google Adsense. A site that rises from a consistent 1% click-through rate to a 10% click-through rate on one day could become suspect. The actual percentage that creates the flag isn't made public for obvious reasons.

How many ads can I place on one page?

You can place one link unit and 3 regular ad units.

Can my account be reinstated after being disabled for invalid activity?

If you feel additional information would be valuable in explaining your situation, you can notify Google at adsense-adclicks@Google.com, or respond to the disapproval notice that was emailed to you.

Respond to the questions asked by the support team, and they will be happy to reconsider your account with the additional information provided. There is no guarantee that you will be reinstated into AdSense. If they feel the advertisers and publishers will be adversely impacted by invalid activity we may from time to time cease a publisher's participation in the program.

Can I display ads on search results pages?

Yes.

Can I sign up for more than one account?

Not unless you sign up for additional accounts under separate business entities. It's a good idea to E-Mail Google before you do.

How do I beta test AdSense for feeds?

Complete an application
here.

How do I change my email address / login?

1. Create a new email. If possible, use the email address currently associated with your AdSense account
2. Write 'Login change request' as the subject of your message
3. Include the following in the body of your message:
* The email address currently associated with your account
* The email address you'd like to use as your new account email address
* The date of the first day your account registered AdSense impressions
* The number of page impressions registered on your first day of impressions

4. Send the email to adsense-support@Google.com

If you currently do not have access to the email address associated with your account, Google may require more information to complete this request. (When I changed my E-mail address and didn't have access to the old E-Mail address, they did not require any extra info from me.)

Why am I getting PSAs?

Google has not yet crawled all the pages of your website.
Your page may contain sensitive content for which relevant paying ads will not be displayed.
Your website is using session IDs in the URL.
The AdSense code was placed within an IFRAME.
Your web pages are behind a login.
There are too many URLs added to your account filter list.
Your web page may not contain enough content.
Your site content is primarily in an unsupported language.

Your site has restricted access using a robots.txt exclusion. If you would like to grant Google's crawler access your pages, you can do so without granting permission to any other bots. Simply add the following two lines to the top of your robots.txt file:

User-agent: Mediapartners-Google*
Disallow:

Your website is using frames. In order for Google to serve better targeted ads to the content on your website, select the Framed page checkbox from the Ad layout code page when generating your ad code.

Why are ads not appearing on my site?

You will need to enable JavaScript in your browser in order to view Google ads on a website. Personal firewall software or ad blocking software can cause Google ads to not display.
If your site was previously disapproved, and is later reconsidered and approved for the AdSense program, there may be a delay of up to 48 hours before all of Googles servers are informed of the change and ads begin appearing on your site.

I tried joining a week ago but I haven't got any reply. What do I do?

E-mail Google.

Why are my high paying ads getting so low EPC?

Made for Adsense sites don't work! Give the advertisers poor quality clicks and they stop allowing there ads to show up. Plus there can be a lot of advertisers trying to make money off high paying keywords. For example, for mesothelioma, for every high paying advertiser (Think lawyers.) there are probably 25 low paying advertisers, and with the thousands of sites promoting the term, the lawyers get such low results that they probably stopped allowing there ads to show up on web sites.

Can somebody sabotage my account?

This is just a guess. But if Google doesn't compare domain registration contact with your account address, then yes, some one easily can. Then there's privacy registration which can make it hard to compare your address with the domain registration and contact the real site owner, and would probably get you dumped since the whois address wouldn't match.

What are highest paying keywords?

Look at this page.

I have placed Adsense in my site for X months, but I have only made $X.00. How can I make more money?

Get a lot more visitors and optimize your site using the links at the end of the FAQ.

It looks like every one is getting banned. Why should I even join?

Because you might be one of the 95+% that don't get banned and stay a member for years to come and keep getting payments. That's like saying 'Why should I even make money since I'll have to pay taxes??!!'

Should I make AdSense only sites?

No. Make real sites. Not sites that you make just to get the visitor to come, and then leave on the AdSense ads. Google isn't known for banning people from going this..YET. But one of these days they might start banning for this.

Is it possible to filter keywords or general topics from your ads?

Nope. You can only block domains. Or keep the topic keywords out of your site.

Is a high PR required to get high paying ads?

PR doesn't have anything to do with what ads you get.
