Mexico Miss Universe

Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe 2010 during the finals of the beauty pageant held in Las Vegas a short while ago. The 22-year-old beat 88 other women from around the world at the 59th annual international beauty pageant, held at the Mandalay Bay casino-resort in Las Vegas.The first runner-up was Miss Jamaica, second runner-up Miss Australia and third runner-up Ukraine. As Miss Universe, Navarrete will receive an undisclosed salary, use of a luxury apartment in New York with living expenses paid, a diamond-encrusted crown and jewelry fit for a queen, a year's worth of designer clothing, hair care products, makeup and shoes, plus a one-year scholarship to the New York Film Academy plus housing after her reign ends.(Daily Mirror)
