New seasons for sport

August- the month when it all begins again and every team has a chance in a number of sports.

The premiership football season kicked off. Liverpool seem to have found a new toughness and team resolve which is great. Would have been a hard earned win if not for a last minute calamity. I'll mention no more.

It's too early to judge teams but Manchester united looked to be misfiring, arsenal looked defensively poor and Chelsea seemed to have picked up where there left off.

The NFL pre-season is under way and can't really be used to judge teams. My main observation is that tim tebow will be the starting qb for the broncos by the end of week 7.

In one month we will have teams going full speed in the premiership, NFL football will be underway and NCAA college football will be back for my daughter and I to watch. Hope she still likes it!

Predictions

Premiership: Chelsea win, Liverpool second

NFL: packers win, Washington second

NCAA: Boise state champs
