NHL 11 Demo Review

The EA Sports released the NHL 11 demo on August 17, 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The full game will be released on September 7, 2010 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. EA Sports celebrates the franchise's 20th franchise.


Battle for the Cup: It's Games 7 of the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals. Philadelphia Flyers vs. Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center. The game is played in quick simulation. The game sims up games 1-6, and periods 1-2 Game 7, giving you the option to play Game 7 period 3. The NHL 11 game has a different feel than NHL 10. NHL 11 has a revamped face-off mechanics, revamped hit-checks, changes to passing system, new physics-based engine, broken sticks. and all-new use-controlled goal celebrations. If your stick is higher than the net the goal will be disallowed and you'll see the referee go to the booth and call the Vancouver people and skate to center ice for the disallowed goal. The game will have a new feature which will make the EA Sports franchise videogame more realistic. The users have the ability to control a stick-less player. The player will be able to kick or grab the puck, and teammates may offer their own stick as an replacement. Or you can skate and pick your stick off the ice if yours is not broken or skate all the way to the bench for a new stick. The passing system is all new which I strongly like because it'll be more realistic and once you hit the trigger button the pass will be off; the longer the hold the stronger the pass. You'll be able to user-control celebrate after you score your own goal with windmill, slide on ice, jump in boards, ect These new in-game mechanics make me want to play the game right now.

Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT): New for  NHL 11 is the Hockey Ultimate Team mode, where the players receives a pack of cards and uses them to build up their own team and make it the best they can. The players will earn "EA Pucks" after each game they've played in the HUT mode, whether they win or loose. You can choose your own team and players. You can increase your players stats in the categories (ie defense, offense, skating, passing, ect) using "EA Pucks." Once your team is set you can play in the tournament. During the NHL 11 demo, you will face the Memorial Cup winner Windsor Spitfires, Stanley Cup Final Runner-up Philadelphia Flyers,then the Championship game against the Stanley Cup Champions Chicago Blackhawks, if your lucky you'll play against the Olympic Gold Medal winners Team Canada.

Overall, I like this game a whole lot better than all of the other franchises. This is truly going to be the best and the most elastic hockey game ever created by EA Sports. Remember NHL 11 drops in stores September 7, 2010 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation3.
