I'm really missing my little Canon SD750. See on the previous blog post that this took a little dip in the Atlantic and has not worked since. I think Tim got me the camera for my birthday three years ago. Which I suppose is kind of obsolete now in the technology world. So I started to research some updated versions of this...comparing models, megapixels, optical zooms, digital zooms, LCD screen size, etc. And the fact of the matter is, I just can't keep up. I used to think I was an early adopter - used to say I should sell cell phones because I knew every single feature. But now as much as I love technology I hate technology. I have had too many learning curves lately:
- The home computer changing from Dell to Mac was a big one. I still dont think I've recovered from the changes that make me crazy. I still don't know where my pictures "are". I know they're in iPhoto but other than that, I don't get it.
- I loved my old outdated Pearl BB - now have a new one that has a full keyboard - I think I was the only person on the planet that had a little Pearl but I could type with one hand.
- Moving to a new company... I got a computer on mmm, day 5 or so...only to get a new laptop as our company was going through a refresh. Ok, so 3 laptops in one month....forget it. I am going to keep my current one until I permanently retire.
- Tim's car now has blue tooth connection - it's supposed to pick up both of our phones only I set it up and it was working and now only picks up his. I dont have time to fumble with it so I will default to my wired headset (bc I still have not adopted the bluetooth earpiece.)
- It took me 4 months to figure out how to get the backlight to work on my Garmin running watch. I defaulted to checking my pace and distance when I got under a streetlamp. I was fairly certain the watch should be able to turn the backlight on when I touched it. Finally it works. Big accomplishment.
So I am happy to say in a couple of days I will be the proud owner of a USED CANON SD750 ELPH - I could not stomach the idea of learning another piece of technology. So I hopped on eBay and spent a 15 minute timeframe staring at the bids of this camera on eBay last Sunday. (I had lost one auction already the week before. ) You would have thought I hit the lottery - I am hoping it looks and feels just like my old one before it fell in the ocean. All I know is that I know how it works. And maybe I'll get more updated pics of the girls posted soon!
