NEWS FROM WORLD: School, HOMEWORK, & Cheerios :)

Yeah...I don't have anything to post about Cheerios but I couldn't think of anything else to put on the end of my title...and Cheerios came to mind...so Cheerios it is! :)

Well...I survived my first week of college! I really like the campus I'm going to. It's the TCC Metro campus-it's downtown. And I love the atmosphere of downtown!! For the most part my classes are great....for the most part. If you're going to take Intro to Psychology (it's required to go into the nursing program...otherwise, I wouldn't be taking it!)...anyways...if you're going to take this class...do NOT take my professor! HE IS CRAZY, PERVERTED, A FREAK, DRESSES LIKE A DORK....and the list goes on.....no exaggeration!! I can deal with dressing like a dork but his views on just about everything must have been thought up when he was drunk or dreaming or something...he's WEIRD! His outfit is pretty funny! He wears basically the same thing every day: jeans, a short sleeve-knit polo, a black or navy jacket with GOLD buttons, and Crocs! Yes, CROCS! I like Crocs...and they're super comfy....but NOT with that outfit! Oh my...the first day he even had one of those pins you can stick on there...it was a car. No joke! I would love to sneak a picture of him sometime! He seems like he's pretty friendly and he may even be a "good teacher"...I don't know-I've only been to three classes so far. But every class he manages to get on some perverted topic that he thinks somehow relates to psychology...his mind is PERMANENTLY in the gutter...seriously. So pray for me on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 to 9:50! :) But my other teachers seem normal! My Comp I class seems like it's going to be a little tough because it's a "fast track" class and we do quite a bit of work each class...but my teacher is really sweet and said she'll work with us whenever we need extra help (which I seem to always need! lol). My other class seems decent, too. My history class doesn't start until October (it's a fast track class, too...OOPS!), so I guess we'll see how that goes once I start it! :) Hopefully it won't be too bad!!

Well, my job for the summer is over...which means NO MORE MONEY!! :O Yeah, no bueno! I have my CNA (nurse aide certification) but I haven't gotten a job yet. I applied at like 4 hospitals but most of them want at least a year of experience before they hire you. So none of those worked out! Then, within the last 2-3 weeks I've applied at like 7 different nursing homes!! :O But today after class I was looking at the job listings from the newspaper online and I saw one that said something about filling CNA positions immediately. So I went and applied...and the staffing coordinator wants me to come in tomorrow for more paperwork and orientation!! I'm so excited!! I hope I get the job! I really need the experience and MONEY! :) A nursing home wasn't my first choice...but if that's all that will hire me then I'LL TAKE IT! :) I really enjoyed the nursing home when I had clinicals there with Tulsa Tech...but I LOVED the excitement of the hospital...but you can't always get what you want! :) And I want God's will to be done....maybe there's someone specific He wants me to reach out to at the nursing home (or wherever I get a job!). So pray for me tomorrow if you think about it! :) Don't you feel bad when you tell someone you'll pray for them and then forget all about it?! I've done that so many times...and then I'll see that person and be like, "OH NO! I forgot to pray for them!" :)

So I guess that's about it...if you want to know anything else just ask me! :) lol
