Money and stuff...

Sorry people but I've sold out to the evil corporations. In this case - Google. I've joined the AdSense projet and now I'm rolling in some cash to get my beer! :D
I'm all charity BTW! All the income goes for the victims of famine (famine of beer that is) so help me on this cause and click the damn advert for me please! It only takes a second (actually less). :D

Thank You! :)

OK! Now to the blog part.
After yesterdays rain and soakiness it was sunny and not hot! I felt great! So i worked out this morning.
Can you believe it? My lazy a*s and working out? Yup it's true. And i was waken up at 8 a.m. so i had nothing better to do. :D And now enough about me. This is my 3rd attempt to raise a discussion among my readers (inventor of beer and internet bless you people). And the topic is: What do YOU want to see in my blog? Or if more specific what do you like and what do you don't like in my blog. What do you want to see more or less (videos, pictures, music, reviews of whatever, funny stories or my thoughts on politics or whatever). Please leave a comment (for real!), the comment section is open for everyone.

And now a funny video:

OK people i'm out! ;)

Making Money from Your Website with Google AdSense

Google AdSense is the Google program where you can host pay-per-click ads on your Website. When someone clicks an ad, you earn money. Simple as that.
Is it really as easy to make money with Google AdSense as many would lead you to believe? Now that I've become heavily involved with managing Google AdSense programs for my clients, I can see it's not all play and no work.
Unfortunately, a lot of people bought into the idea that there was a lot of easy money to be made and they are now finding out they aren't making nearly as much as they thought they would. Additionally, Google has a lot of prohibited practices when it comes to AdSense, and too many Webmasters are finding out they violated Google's policies after the fact - often because they never bothered to read the AdSense policies in the first place.
Webmasters must not only comply with AdSense policies, but their Websites must also comply with Google's webmaster policies.
Prerequisites for Making Money with AdSense
To make money with Google AdSense you need plenty of traffic coming in to your site or there won't be anyone to click the ads. Website promotion techniques, especially search engine optimization and article marketing will bring more traffic to your site. You also need to have content that will attract the ads with the highest Pay Per Click (PPC) rate that are relevant to that content. Then, you need to lay out your web pages so the ads blend in with your site. Studies have revealed that people who visit sites that contain ads that use colors that are not in harmony with the actual Web site tend to develop "ad blindness". Meaning no matter how much traffic comes into your site, chances are no one will click the ads because they'll be ignoring them. If no one clicks, you make nothing. Dealing with Competitors' Advertisements
If you offer products or services on your Website, the first thing you'll notice when you begin hosting PPC ads is that many of the ads are coming from your competitors. Therefore, you'll want to put ads on pages that aren't earning you any money, or do like I did and not put ads on your site until you're so busy anyway you'd rather make a few dollars off of your competitors than to continue turning business away with nothing to show for it.
Google AdSense allows you to specify up to 200 URLs for sites you want to bar from placing ads on your pages. The problem is that most times you won't know the competitors are out there until their ads appear.

After Felda, PAS exposes '22 frauds' in Felcra

PAS' land and regional development territory bureau has disclosed 22 documents detailing alleged fraudulent acts involving the Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (Felcra).

Describing the situation in Felcra as “more critical than Felda”, bureau chief Mazlan Aliman alleged that Barisan Nasional leaders were abusing their powers and rapidly siphoning out funds belonging to Felcra.

According to him, the 22 cases of alleged fraud were happening simultaneously in Felcra and some 90,000 settlers nationwide were oppressed and exploited.

Among the cases were the alleged swindling of funds in the settlers' cooperative (Koperasi Peserta-perserta Felcra Bhd), a RM14.8 million contract on the Sarawak Felcra Jemoreng settlement, RM17 million purchase of bonds without the approval of the settlers and the forging of documents for general agricultural works in Sabah.

“We cannot divulge all that we know about these frauds now, but we will call the media at a later date to give you each a full copy of the 22 cases,” Mazlan said.

'Wait until after Hari Raya...'

He said the disclosure today was a response to Felcra chairman Tajuddin Abdul Rahman who dared PAS to disclose abuses and acts of swindling in Felcra.

"Tajuddin and his cronies have been abusing their authority... they have been swindling Felcra settlers without consideration of the settlers' burden. He (Tajuddin) thinks we are not brave enough to expose these documents because he thinks we don’t have the facts.

“Today we are only showing you 22 cases of fraud... wait until after Hari Raya, we’ll disclose more... much more,” he said, urging the government to set up a royal commission to investigate Felcra.

“There is a need to set up a royal commission immediately because MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) has failed to respond to the discloses made by Felcra settlers.

“MACC should have set up a special task force at the onset to investigate the abuse of money and power in Felcra. Settlers have been complaining for a long time,” said Mazlan.

Mazlan said the alleged abuses in Felcra arose because the agency was controlled by politicians with no knowledge or experience in managing finances justly.

“This swindling and cheating are not going to stop because Felcra administrators are used to using the settlers to rake in profits for their cronies.

“We have surrendered these important documents to MACC but to date no action has been taken. MACC has not informed us as to the status of their investigations,” he said.

Destroyed by Umno politicians

Established in 1966, Felcra’s main objective is to develop the rural sector by helping Malay community to participate in national economic activities, thus improving their standard of living.

It was turned into a government-owned company Felcra Berhad in 1997.

However in recent years, discontentment among settlers had been rife with complaints of exploitation and abuse.

According to Mazlan, Umno leaders were the main reason for the “destruction” of Felda and Felcra to the point that it had begun to affect the settlers.

“We have followed the procedures in drawing attention to financial abuses in Felda and Felcra but no changes have been initiated. Our final recourse is the courts. So we hired a lawyer to sue Felda and Felcra in a bid to seek justice for the settlers in Felda and Felcra,” he said.

The Power Of Knowing About Your Past Life

By Susan M Mann

The idea of reincarnation; that you had a past life, or several - is an ancient one, and one that is found on every corner of the earth: Japanese, Australian aborigines, Africans, modern Wiccans and many other New Age religions, all believe that you have past lives, and that your past lives influence who and what you are today.

What you are now and who you believed you are now is an influence of your past life including your health, your mental well being, and your social interactions are all influenced by your past life. This is why it is important to know yourself, who you are and what you are in the past, to be able to make yourself better and stronger in this current life.

What are the indications of your past life? It is not easy to determine how and what the past life was but some of the simple indications are disturbing dreams that keep on visiting you in your sleep that you never was aware if it happened to you. OR when you recall from memory some of the things that happened in your life but you can not explain if when it happened. This may have been you in your past life indicated by the following circumstances:

* An overwhelming attraction or love of some culture that you have not experienced and do not relate to your present life For instant, if you adore Mesopotamian art, that era and region may be familiar to you from a past life. You should find out more concerning the art that you find interesting, especially if it is a distinct and rather minor period. It may be a good indicator of a past life.

* Unusual reactions or peculiar response to a historical event that happened centuries ago. This reaction may be explained by the involvement you might have in your past life.

* You might be experiencing different allergies or problems that were not previously present or detected or you might have some psychological or physical problems that you cannot explain which might be linked to your past life.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, and just the fact that you have one of these indicators does not mean you are remembering a past life. Look for patterns in your life, ranges of things that attract you for no good reason, and you may start to home in on similarities that will help you piece together an idea of what your past life or lives may have been.

You may be able to access your past life or past lives by being hypnotized by someone else or with self-hypnosis. You may find that a visit to a past life regression specialist well worth the time and money. Past life regression, is a deep hypnotic form of recalling memories from the subconscious mind.

When you made decision regarding this, go for the process that gives you a deep relaxation method. This is the first technique that you should get before the therapist proceed to the past life regression.

If you are worried about your safety, no significant matter can disturb you while in process. You will only recall your past life through the regression and you might possibly experience back what happened in your past life but only in a vivid pictures or shadows.

As you recall your life in the past, it will generate after effects in your feelings. If you feel good, your past life could have been good. If you feel bad after the process, your past life could have been bad as well. Although some memories and past life events are not good for you, it does not mean that you will have the same bad fate in the current life. It is only a recollection of your past life for your benefits.

What is important is remembering a past life. Once you remember, you are able to move on in this life. Problems occur when there is subconscious suppression of these memories. Acknowledging and accepting what happened in the past can aid you, while experiencing you present life with an entirely different point of view.

Good karma has a great part in the life of people. And because you had a good life in the past, it is believed that you will also have good karma in your current life. But it is your responsibility to keep your soul as good as you can possibly be in order for your good karma to follow you in your current life. But once you change yourself from good to bad, your karma will also turn into bad karma until you realized it and go back to being good.

However, there does seem to be some confusion about this interpretation. Some individuals do not believe we are destined to suffer from any bad things we deserve because of one of our past lives. They believe that with each new life, we are born anew, with the choice to do as we please. After realizing that a particular memory is from a past life, we are no longer bad examples and we can continue on, enjoying our present life.

We need "Polis yang Bergerak", Not "Balai Bergerak Polis"

I have a 100% record of friends/relatives/acquaintance who were robbed/burgled/Snatched/molested but no justice came to help these people.

There is a Balai Polis Bergerak at SS2 PJ, ever since Najib came to visit SS2 a few weeks ago. It is located right in front of Mac Donalds.

Now, this should be greeted with happiness that the Police (& the Government) may finally care for us a little more - That there is a Balai Polis Bergerak, located at this busy place, with more police officers sitting inside there.

But one hidden fact is that, less than 500 metres away from that Balai Polis Bergerak, is the large SS2 Police Station.

The point of this posting is, why the hell are we spending money to have a Balai Polis Bergerak so near to a large Police station?

Is not it better to have this Balai Bergerak somewhere which really need it?

Najib - the point is not whether we have the Balai Polis Bergerak or not, what we need is that the Polis to 'bergerak' and do their work.

Just a few days ago, a client called me and told me this - that he was asked by SSM (Company Commissioner of Malaysia) to lodge a police report of a fraudulent report. When he lodge the police report, the police tells the client that this is a SSM issue.

A few weeks ago, we had another client who complaint that her husband was hitting her, and the police informed her that it is a domestic issue.

My house was broken in a few months ago, and when asked, the police officer told my family that nothing can be done, and admitted that most house breaking case go unsolved. (And my dad being a former cop, himself could only shake his head in disbelief when hearing this).

I know 2 other lawyers whose Satria GTi got stolen. Mine was stolen in 2001. Another 3 lawyers' whose car was stolen outside the Duta Court Complex. Imagine - the centre of Justice in KL, and a mere hundred metre away from the gates of Duta Court, cars were stolen, and what more cars of the very people at Court trying to carry out their duties as lawyers.

Another 2 friends had their ncar stolen - one had his car stolen right outside his office at Damansara Heights. The other lost his car outside his former office at Seri Petaling.

A cousin of mine got his house broken in a few years ago, and did not realise his spare keys to his car was taken. A few nights later, he woke up to hear his car driven away, probably by the very same people who broke in his house earlier.

Another friend, while jogging at TTDI park, got his car broken in and the contents of his wallet stolen. And at TTDI, there is this large Police station, but obviously it did not deter the thief.

Countless lady friends who had their bags and chains snatched, molested in busses or taken advantage of.

A Judge in a tribunal informed me that his house was not only broken in and burgled, but the robbers woke him up only to hit his face and slash him (he had more than 10 stitches). Imagine attacked at your very bed and in the supposed sanctuary of your home.

All these stories above have one common theme - the crime remain unsolved. And these friends/relatives/acquaintance of mine above, have lodged police reports but to no avail.

Which means I have a 100% record of friends/relatives/acquaintance who were robbed/burgled/Snatched/molested but no justice came to help these people.

Why? Because we have a cock police force. A pathetic police force. A police force which is so corrupt that the only way to make them better, is to sack them all and start a new police force.

The White Rajah, TAIB MAHMUD and his business empire

When the wealth of Sarawak Chief Minister Taib Mahmud was exposed to public viewing, the reaction was one of utter disgust. How could a political animal earning RM20,000 a month amassed such a colossal fortune? Where did he get all the extras? Was his massive business empire built on legitimate foundation? Or was it all ill-gotten gains? Of course, where he gets his money and what he does with it is his private affair. But when a person holds a high public office, he is no longer in control of his personal domain. It becomes public property and thus subject to scrutiny. If a person has nothing to hide, he has nothing to fear. Only when he covers his misdeeds, is he open to censure and even trial.

The most disturbing aspect of the whole sordid affair is that Sarawak, the largest state in Malaysia, is still mired in poverty while the man controlling its destiny is fabulously rich. The Land of the Hornbills was once ruled by the White Rajahs whose paternalistic reign lasted for 100 years. In all those years, the indigenous people were protected against exploitation. Then came eventual independence in the larger Malaysian federation. And now comes another White Rajah who has been around for nearly 30 years. In that period, he grew powerful and became well-heeled. He ruled the state like as if it is his fiefdom. No one dared stepped on his toes, not even the federal masters, past or present.

But Taib is not living in the Stone Age. An intrepid news portal, The Sarawak Report, was all this while probing into his wealth. It followed his trail of affluence and discovered, to the horror of the public, the source of his minted money: he and his family members owned an “overseas business empire worth billions of ringgit”. When the pot of gold was unearthed, the White Rajah hit the roof and wanted the public to believe it is all lies. But the documented proof is solid and indisputable. It is pointless for him to claim innocence: the whole world knows his billionaire status. A public figure cannot run and hide in a hole and expect the storm to blow over. It won't.

The tempest is still raging. The White Rajah must explain to quell the growing anger. He must speak the truth or resign on moral grounds. But he chose to keep quiet. He gives the impression that he is in total control of the situation. In the absence of his side of the story, the allegations against him stand: he made his pile from land, forestry, and palm oil concessions. Most of the projects went to his family members and cronies. They all became rich while the indigenous population – Melanaus, Ibans, Bidayuhs, Penans – continues to wallow in misery. The White Rajah stays in a palatial mansion but the indigenous people have to fight to keep their ancestral lands. In many encounters, they lost out to the combined might of the police, army and timber merchants. Taib does not want to share his wealth with his people. He does not want the natives to block his “rape”of the virgin environment.

Sarawak is rich in natural resources. Taib knows it. The people know it. But what Taib did not want the people to know is his plundering of the state's wealth. For 30 long years he has been the master of all he surveys. During all those years, he could have used his power to enrich the people. Instead he enriched himself. He did have his dream. He told the people about his vision: he wanted to make Sarawak the richest state in Malaysia by 2030. Which means he wants to stay around for another 20 years. God forbid.

Is AG Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail bonking Datuk Azailiza binti Mohd Ahad as alleged?

Raja Petra Kamaruddin, the so-called fugitive blogger of Malaysia Today revealed yesterday evening through his article, Okay, What about this affair then? where RPK alleged that Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail is BONKING Datuk Azailiza binti Mohd Ahad.

It was further revealed that Datuk Azailiza binti Mohd Ahad is the Head of the International Affairs Division of the Attorney General’s Chambers and that their sexual affair is of no secret at the Attorney-General's Chambers.

It was further disclosed that both AG Abdul Gani Patail and Azailiza Mohd Ahad make frequent trips overseas together and, to save the taxpayers’ some money, they share the same hotel room.

This accusation is a serious matter and the authorities need to investigate immediately.

The Religious authorities would have to arrest both of them for KHALWAT (to indulge in illicit love and sex) and ZINA (adultery, sexual acts outside of marriage) , and charge them in the Syariah Court.

AG Abdul Gani Patail should be immediately SUSPENDED of his duties until an investigation is complete, so that he will not use his 'powers' to circumvent the investigations.

Paid Surveys Paypal Cash - Exciting Hints To Learn

By Adam Woodham

Everything you need to know about PayPal and free paid surveys is right here. During the next three paragraphs, I will show you why you must accept this method of payment, instead of just getting a stupid check in your mail box, or your P.O. Box. Of course you might change your mind about PayPal compensation and gratis paid surveys and how 'apparently' similar they seem to everything else as soon as you are done reading this.

Sincerely, there is little more to it than how much you expect in payments. Are you of the opinion that the money you make would be no different irrespective of the website and payment method being offered? You'd only be hurting yourself to work with those assumptions.

To put it as simple as possible, let me state it like this: The bigger websites that strictly offer PayPal for their free paid surveys usually pay much, much more than the websites that just give out checks. Now, it may sound false, and it may sound stupid, but it is the truth. I know it's the truth.

There is a lot of margin for complications when checks have to be handed out by a company all the time. To begin with, a lot of time and money has to be devoted to dealing with banks and so on. In addition, the checks have to be placed in envelopes, and the envelopes have to be sent out, and someone simply needs to be b hired to do all that. Oh yeah, one more thing. There is the issue of the stamps that have to go with the mails too. Adding all of these up certainly means something.

You actually get to pay for it because you now get to work and get paid somewhat less all the time. However tough you may find it, it's the truth. This is why I always, always look for free paid surveys that give me my money through PayPal. Websites that operate this way may not have as many employees because a digital system runs it all. Everything is carried out online. They have minimal costs to send you your earnings through PayPal for the free paid surveys you do from them.

Families In Carlsbad Facing Bankruptcy Get Help From Local Attorney

By Clare Buckalew

When bills start to overwhelm you and it looks as if there is no way out, a Carlsbad Bankruptcy attorney might be able to offer you some help. The bankruptcy laws help to protect you from creditors in order to rebuild your life. These laws can keep debtors from taking your paycheck through garnishment and property by liens.

In recent years the bankruptcy laws changed. It is more necessary now than ever to have a good attorney to help you to protect as many assets as possible through bankruptcy. The help they give can make a huge difference in your life.

Bankruptcy codes allow filers to keep certain assets as protected. For example, you cannot be forced to sell your home. You are allowed to own a vehicle under a certain value. Tools that are required for your job are also protected from being sold to meet your obligations.

If you work out a new budget for after the bankruptcy is finalized and realize that there are some important items that you owe money on which you want to keep you may be able to reaffirm these debts. In addition to allowing you to keep those important items, you can begin rebuilding credit.

While your bankruptcy is open, you cannot legally apply for credit. You will have to live on the income you bring home from work. Checks or cash received for other reasons will need to be submitted to the administrator who makes the final decision on how they will be used.

After your bankruptcy is discharged, if your income is over a certain level, you will need to meet a repayment schedule. This will be less than your current bill load and is for a specific period of time.

A Carlsbad bankruptcy attorney can help you through the maze of bankruptcy laws. If you need to file bankruptcy, the attorney will be able to answer any questions that you may have.

UNMASKED! TAIB THE GODFATHER

Sarawak Report has uncovered devastating documents which prove that Abdul Taib Mahmud, Sarawak’s Chief Minister, is the real owner of millions of dollars of property assets held in the name of family members abroad.

The damning discovery lays bare a system of private deals, which enabled the Chief Minister to conceal his true ownership of the properties. This was presumably in order to hide the extent of his enormous wealth, for which he has yet to provide any legitimate explanation.

Under the system, whilst it is Taib’s relatives who are publicly registered as the official shareholders and directors of the companies owning the properties, a separate, private agreement ensures that the shares are actually held in trust for him.

Documentary evidence of elaborate concealment

260 California Street, San Francisco - Bijou Sakti Office Block

Among documents in its possession Sarawak Report has a copy of one such private agreement (see above) relating to the shares in Sakti International, a company that owns buildings in San Francisco. Sakti is part of a web of companies started in North America by the Taibs, which includes Sakto, a major Ottawa property company, and Wallysons, which owns the Abraham Lincoln Building in Seattle, housing a top secret anti-terrorist facility for the FBI.

The five official shareholders of Sakti International, which is registered in California, are Taib’s brothers, Onn Mahmud and Arip Mahmud, along with three of his children, Sulaiman Taib, Mahmud Taib and Jamilah Taib. However, as the document which we have obtained shows, a resolution made soon after the formation of the company has privately ruled that half those shares (a commanding majority) are held in trust for the Chief Minister. The value of these shares amounts to 40 million US dollars for Sakti alone, according to the company’s own documents.

Tip of the iceberg?

However, Sakti International, estimated to be worth US $80 million, accounts for just a small proportion of the Taib family wealth. Our previous exposes have revealed a vast portfolio of further international property assets, which are owned by members of Taib Mahmud’s immediate family. For example, Taib’s own children are the shareholders and directors of numerous companies controlling residential and commercial buildings in Canada, Australia, Britain and the United States together worth hundreds of millions of US dollars. Yet, suspiciously, many of these assets came into their possession when they were in their early 20s and still college students with no visible access to legitimate resources to invest. The inevitable question for Taib Mahmud, therefore, is whether, as in the case of Sakti International, they are also secretly holding these other properties in trust for him? If not, what explanation can there be for these investments?

Golden Wedding Couple - The Godfather and his family

A number of reports have already been made to the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) regarding the recent disclosures of the Taib family wealth. These new revelations proving the direct link to the Chief Minister will increase the pressure on the MACC to respond with a proper investigation.

Further Fingerprints

The Sakti International documents in our possession, released as part of the disclosure in a recent court case, provide further extensive evidence of Taib Mahmud’s involvement in the company, despite his denials of any business connections. Indeed one of the company’s earliest official documents, signed in 1987, even lists him as one of the Directors of Sakti International.

Chief Minister's name in black and white, listed as a Director Of Sakti International

The document in question is a Domestic Stock Corporation Statement for Sakti International, which is required annually by the State of California. In 1987, the year the company was set up, its inaugural statement clearly registers Taib Mahmud, along with his brothers Onn Mahmud and Arip Mahmud, as a Director of the company. The only officer of the company is listed as Mahmud Taib, the Chief Minister’s eldest son.

It is well-known that in subsequent Taib family enterprises the Chief Minister has always scrupulously avoided including his own name in any documentation. This early mistake will undermine his constant claims that, in keeping with his role as Chief Minister, he has no direct business interests. It is clear that he in fact set up Sakti International, using the address of his own house in San Francisco. Download PDF

Cover Up

Subsequently, records show that the structure of the company was altered to make Onn, Arip and Mahmud Taib the three Directors, while Rahman became the only officer of the company. But, as we are now able to exclusively report, Taib Mahmud secretly retained his control through a resolution by the company directors dated April 8th 1988. This resolution (see top) placed 500 of the 1,000 shares issued by the company in trust for him.

43 Presidio, Taib's San Francisco town house and early HQ for Sakti International

The Godfather

The Sakti documents give a fascinating insight into the manipulative methods used by Taib Mahmud to control his family members, who are supposedly the earners and ‘businessmen’ who have generated the Taibs’ legendary wealth. The five relatives who were selected to own shares in Sakti International were each been given a different number of shares. Each then surrendered differing proportions of these shares to be held in trust for the Chief Minister.

Brother Onn Mahmud gets 400 shares, but of them 200 are held for the Chief Minister, whereas brother Arip gets just 200 shares, 100 of which are in trust for Taib. Mahmud Taib has the same arrangement ast Arip. However younger brother, Sulaiman Rahman Taib, who was later made sole Director of Sakti, only gets 100 shares under the agreement and they are all in fact held in trust for his father. Daughter Jamilah also only gets 100 shares, but she gets to hold them all herself.

The system ensures that Taib Mahmud has half of all the shares held in trust for himself, whereas none of the others hold more than 200 shares. In this way he clearly keeps a commanding control over the company he pretends not to own.

Classic Car on Standby - Vintage Ferrari kept ready for Chief Minister's occasional visits to 43 Presidio Avenue. Son Rahman Taib, who shared his father's interest requested a 4,000 square foot garage to house his car collection in the States

Taib in charge

Former employees of Sakti have testified to the controling position the Chief Minister holds over the other members of the family. Rahman, as he was known in the States, was still in college when he became sole Director of Sakti and has been described as being in awe of his father, whom he once had to wait a week to get a meeting with.

“We always considered Taib to be the ultimate boss and decision-maker” one former executive has told Sarawak Report, “It was obvious that he was the source of the money and Rahman was extremely deferential towards him”.

Where did the money come from?

The Chief Minister has so far made no comment on the string of recent exposes regarding his wealth. However, this new evidence will increase the widespread demands for him to explain how he and his family accrued the millions necessary to acquire such investments. Taib’s personal salary from his numerous concurrent positions still only delivers an official income of just under 50,000 MYR (around US $16,000) a month.

Multi-billionaire? Chief Minister's finances beg immediate scrutiny

In past weeks the existence of Ridgeford Properties in London and Sakto Corporation in Ontario, Canada have also been made public (see previous exposes on Sarawak Report). These companies own and manage numerous office blocks worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Ostensibly the Directors and owners of these concerns are Jamilah Taib and her husband Sean (Hisham) Murray, a Canadian national. However, like Sakti, Sakto was originally set up under the names of Taib family members, not Mr Murray.

Although numerous members of Sean Murray’s family now work for Sakto, all the evidence indicates that these are in fact Taib family businesses, ultimately controlled by the Chief Minister of Sarawak.

Surely the weight of evidence is now such that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission will be unable to ignore the deluge of demands requiring thorough investigation into Sarawak’s White Haired Raja?

"SOME MEN SEE THINGS AS THEY ARE AND ASK WHY. I DREAM THINGS THAT NEVER WERE AND SAY WHY NOT"

"There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" - Robert Kennedy

Every time Barisan Nasional spend a Ringgit, it costs a Ringgit. And if the Ringgit is borrowed it costs more than a Ringgit. It cannot get simpler then that. And that is why we are not amused when we hear about all the money being paid as commissions, all the corruptions, all the inflated costs of projects all the wastage and irresponsible spending of our money by the Barisan Nasional government without giving any tangible returns to the people and the country.

Tunku, Tun Razak and Tun Hussein all had humility. Some will define humility as not believing that you are superior to others. And yet these three that I speak of, are leaders that we all hold in high regard and respect. Never boastful of what they do for the country….modest even to the extent of being self-effacing and they instilled in us values of hard work and the never say die attitude. If there is no fuel, Set Sail. If there is no Wind, Row.

What do sort of leaders do we have now? Najib’s idea of turun padang is a walk in Brickfields, Jalan Masjid India or China Town. None of the Ministers in his cabinet knows what the face of poverty looks like. Oh yes they do go on walkabouts into carefully synchronized and sanitized rural areas near elections time with promises to build drains and ‘gelanggang sepak takraw’ if they will vote UMNO.

Together, UMNO and Barisan Nasional have full control over any income generating resources of this country and all its economic activity. From control over rice to petrol. Water, Land, Gas, Electricity…even the hospitals that heals you – they exercise full control – directly or indirectly. The immense wealth generated by Petronas, its income and expenditure, is the privy of the Prime Minister alone! Why?

Why must these politicians, their circle of friends, their cronies, the business elites and the well connected control everything in Malaysia? They will decide which highways are to be constructed. What infrastructure the country needs. Which kampong, which town and which State shall receive funding for projects. Who will go to school, to college and to University? Who will get a job and when necessary (in their opinion) who should be sacked.

They decide who will stay in jail and who will be freed. And for those who are jailed they decide how long they will be jailed!

For those in business a large part of their success or failures is also in the hands of these politicians. If the business is lucrative enough you can be sure that they will have a share in that business – if not owned it outright. They decide who will get a contract and which contractor will be allowed to continue to prosper or to fail. Those who are the preferred contractors can do substandard work and still collect payments just as long as these politicians get their share. Highways, infrastructures and building that should have a life span of twenty to thirty years needs to be resurfaced, repaired or restructured within half their life expectancy period or less. And every resurfacing, any repairs or restructuring means more money for these contractors and more money for these politicians. It is a wonder why more motorists are not killed on the highways because the roads have not been surfaced properly. Why not many more people are killed when building collapsed. And why more people are not killed when infrastructures failed.

Every year despite billions spent on flood mitigations projects communities in the rural and urban area are flooded during the rainy seasons. The damage to their properties runs into millions. The great physical and emotional hardship of families with children is played out year after year after year.

And on top of these abuses projects costs and procurement contracts are inflated to astronomical amounts – amounts that the people must pay for! At the apex of this abuse can be seen the PKFZ scandals, massive abuse of defence spending and the billions frittered away in projects that do not benefit the people or the country except to line up the pockets of the Barisan Nasional politicians.

If charges indicating complicity in murder charges were not laid against a serving Prime Minister it would not take a rocket scientist to figure out what power and money can do in Malaysia. Conrad Black, Bernard Madoff and Mobutu would have many friends in government here.

The people have few rights. What right they have under the constitution can be taken away from them at will by the Barisan Government.

Through the power the have over their own people these politicians has become hideously rich. Amassed great fortunes at the expense of the people. And in order to remain in power and continue to amass more wealth they are not hesitant to perpetuate their rule over the people through any means at their disposal at the expense of their own people. Democracy no longer works. The opposition are harasses physically and mentally through PDRM and the judicial system relentlessly. All and any government institution are used to ensure that this harasement continues unabated.

The medias are controlled effectively through permits and through depriving them of access to airtime unlike the government-controlled medias who have Carte blanc access to what ever they require – time, money and facilities to sent their Barisan Nasional sanctioned news to the people.

Malaysia is in crisis because of the incompetence of its Barisan Nasional leaders. The Malays have been denied the opportunity to develop. The other races have been coerced to do as told by the Barisan Nasional government – for now.

What is left now for the people of Malaysia is the possibility, a very slim possibility that it might still be able to change the political leaders of their country through the democratic process at the next general elections. They might be able to do this because the present Barsian Nasional government thankfully lack the courage to take complete control of all things Malaysian. Not because they cannot do so because all that they need to seize control of the country is at their disposal – but because they lack the courage to do so. They still have the fear that if they try to seize power by any other way but the democratic process, the people will protest. And protest loudly and with vigour. So for now they tinker and manipulate whatever they can within the ‘democratic’ process as we know it to try and ensure a tainted electoral victory for them at the next general elections.

The only thing that stands between UMNO and their total domination over this country and its people is the people themselves! Only the people of this country can together stand up against Barisan Nasional and say “NO”.

Whether this will happen is still to be seen because the people of this country have never before move as one people. Never before have they wanted the same thing for themselves and for the country. And so whether we will all be together in resisting Barisan Nasional remains to be seen. Every thing points to the possibility of this happening because together they are tired of the abuses of the Barisan Nasional government. And so for now we wait and we dream..
