Is Barak Hussein Obama a "Republican Plant" to ensure "Social Conservatives" win the white house?

The fact that in states where republicans and undeclareds can vote in the democratic primary, this gentleman is winning and the fact that he is raising unbelievable amounts of money from traditional republicans and lobbyists (all confirmed) worries me that he may actually be someone planted and built up.

There is no talk about issues and he has no standing on the record. We don't even know where he is coming from. Having been a Muslim is not the issue but having attended a Muslim Fundamentalist school is no okay with me considering we are fighting these people and our president even the nominee should represent the majority of "our" population.

Running for republicans I would imagine you'd want to build up the weakest link and virtually no experience or credentials on the other side so you can take them down easily by talking about their obvious issues later. Aren't you confused by the media coverage?

I agree about media and republicans having a hand in building him up. Being excited is one thing but not being totally forthcoming is another. Although people get fired up about this issue, at the end of the day we don't know much about him except he says he is for change.

There is no questions Bush is leaving the white house and someone else is getting in and all of the candidates understand people want change and everyone says so. Why should be believe one versus the other? Based on what others say they will do or based on their established record, having been in politics and tempted long enough and not sold out. That is who my vote will be for not HYPE!

Also, please look into the facts not just dismiss all the points people make and be rude and violent. We need to have people express and everyone learns something in the process.

Many candidates have done a lot for 9/11 victims, please look into that as well. It is not what someone says they will do but what they have done already. Preseidency is not a test or proving ground!

I wrote the following a week after the election of 2008. I copied it verbatim. I was still struggling with a name for the blog. I called it Obatamy and Obatomy before settling on Obotomy.

Four consecutive sentences starting with "I"...Doh!

Yes, I have every right to claim my status as an I-told-you-so. What I can tell you about that status is that it is not worth it. It would be better to be wrong about some things. Wouldn't it be great if Obama had turned out to be a high-minded, patriotic American who harbored a secret respect for Milton Friedman? It would be wonderful.

But where did my crystal ball get cloudy? Well, I believed Obama would be petty, egocentric and authoritarian if not downright thuggish. But I did not expect him to be so blatantly anti-American. Did anyone else foresee Obama apologizing for America's very existence? Yes, he said things that his political allies have thought at times but I did not expect him to be so brazen. The NASA chief whose primary purpose is to make Moslems feel good about their alleged scientific contributions, the administration's challenge of Arizona's desperate citizens and their well-intended law as well as the support for a mosque, yes a mosque, at ground zero...it all adds up to an ominous pattern. A pattern that bespeaks destruction of all that we hold dear.

The debate rages on: Is Obama deliberately destructive or simply inept? A Manchurian Candidate or a Joe Biden polished to a high sheen? I for one have vacillated on this issue. For now, I lean towards ineptitutde. That is, if he was brilliantly destroying the country from the inside, he would not constantly tip his hand. It is a subject we can revisit. For now, let's enjoy the repost of a bitter loser who deserved to be bitter.

I am the world's biggest loser. As a kid, Charlie Brown kicked sand in my face. If I had gone to high school with Gary Coleman, he would've taken my lunch money. I am a loser in business. I am a loser in love. I am a loser in life. It pains me too much to recite all of my losses, both because it makes me relive my pain and because it is an astoundingly exhaustive procedure to archive all of my myriad failures.
But I, the world's biggest loser, will go to my grave with one eternal satisfaction. I was not duped by Obama. I never fell for his smoke and mirrors and his cheesy stagecraft. I recognized that he was all form and no function. He was all shine and no shoe. He was all package and no product. If anyone thinks I'm too harsh on their deity, I defy them to present any presidential nominee in this country's history who had a thinner resume. Take your time. Go to Wikipedia. Get out the history books.
But of course the Obatamicized will not page through the history books or even scan Wikipedia, for that matter. Facts do not concern the Obatamicized. It is just a given that their deity is superior to mere mortals. True, there are Democratic partisans who recognize Obama for what he is but who will vote for literally anybody the blue team puts forth. They know Obama is a charlatan, but he is their charlatan.
At the core of the Obama movement lie the Obatamicized. The Obatamicized are not necessarily stupid, although that demographic is sufficiently represented. But the Obatamicized are decidedly anti-analytical, anti-rational, and anti-intellectual. They are deliberately ignorant and willfully blind to inconvenient truths. Or convenient truths for that matter. Or truth of any kind. Truth involves facts and facts are a buzz kill. Obatomies vote with the part of the brain that selects American Idol finalists. They are going to vote for the younger, taller, handsomer, deeper-voiced candidate. Change we need.
There are two qualities at work in the post-Obatamy brain: religion and cosmetics. It is hard to separate the two because theirs is is a religion based on cosmetics. Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask what you can do in style. Above all else ask nothing about your candidate. Ask not about Ayers. Ask not about Dorhn. Ask not about Khalidi. Ask not about Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines and Jimmy Johnson. Ask not about ACORN or Philip Berg or Tony Rezko. Ask not about your candidate's shady and secretive campaign financing. Ask not about your candidate's achievements or even his proposals. Time spent in mental labor is time not spent savoring his greatness.
People are inherently religious but traditional religion is perceived as boring and irrelevant. Of course, religiosity has to be channeled somewhere. There has to be an outlet. If 80% of America still attended church on Sunday, would Obama have a prayer? Would we see lost souls in T-shirts with Obama's face and “Hope” as its caption? Would we have stadia full of zombies chanting “Yes we can” and holding placards reading “Change We Need, ” clueless as to what might be in store for them should their deity convert the White House into his personal cathedral?
Would we encounter, as I have, the mesmerized Obatomy victims who cannot put into words the beatific? Ask them what he said and you get answers like “You just got to see it.” The content of the verbiage (yielding to the benefit of the doubt that content is present) cannot be separated from the speaker. The word and the flesh are one and the same.
We cannot overemphasize the Obatomy religiosity and it is a theme we will return to from time to time. For now, let us briefly consider the pitfalls of deifying a living entity. The old deities will not grow more foolish with the motion of time. Such cannot be stated about living deities. The sins and the gaffes will hit critical mass. The landslide of disillusionment will smother the pilgrims who have not already fled in terror. Eventually, Toto will tug on the curtain and you will be unable to ignore the man behind the curtain.
This writer was once a religious person in the extreme. This writer is not given to the modern practice of introspecting out loud. Thus, I will spare you my philosophical transformations. But my religious experience has left me with two permanent attributes. One, because I was a staunch believer, I tend to be respectful of other people's faith. Two, because I was exposed to religion at an early age, I was immunized against all things cultish. I can walk through the Valley of Scientologists and fear no evil.
Admittedly I am a bit less respectful of people who follow a living, breathing guru. I am less respectful still when the guru harbors political ambition. Religion, by its very nature involves the suspension of normal thought processes. Dogma does not always fare so well when it is pitted against the light of reason. But it does not matter much to secularists because religion usually involves the transcendent. I am content to sit out the celestial heaven versus heaven on Earth argument.
When traditional religion enters the mundane it is usually to decide which day of the week is the Sabbath or which foods and beverages can be consumed. I respectfully respect with maximum respect the suspension of the rational process in these decisions. But it is harder to be so respectful of the followers of a political guru. It is just too dangerous to suspend reason in political decisions.
What it took me a long time to realize is that religion performs a socially utilitarian function. It allowed for the suspension of reason at specific, designated times. Thus, people were less likely to permanently suspend reason as a lifestyle choice. In my unscientific conversations with the Obatamicized, a pattern of willful ignorance emerged. Most of them had zero curiosity about Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson and the Fannie Mae/ DNC/ACORN nexus. I don't think any of them could identify Khalidi or Rezko or Philip Berg. When asked about Ayers and Dohrn they had a vague idea of who they were they answered with a uniform “that was a long time ago and he barely knew them.”
The Obatomy victims were unaware that their guru's campaign had donated $800,000 to ACORN. They had heard about voter fraud but dismissed it because Fox News had reported on it. They were apathetic about Obama's mysterious campaign contributions. My stamina was limited. We can argue about whether or not it is raining, but if one party adamantly refuses to look out the window, why continue the discussion?
Yes, I am the world's biggest loser but I but I have some inner peace. I never fell for the Obama hokum. I did not believe the hype. I was not duped. I did not turn off my mental faculties to better absorb his splendor. I did not bow down to my social superiors in Hollywood, in Silicon Valley, on Wall Street or inside the Beltway. I did not bow down to the masters of the media. Above all else, I did not fall victim to the stupid slogans and the empty rhetoric. For all of my feelings of inferiority I have never felt prouder to be who I am. In defeat I found victory. I never chanted the slogans. I never drank the Kool-Aid. I never received an Obatomy.

Now why would I think such a terrible thing about Our Obama? For an answer cast your mind back nine years to that day on September 11, 2001. You remember it. Some of your neighbors have succeeded in forgetting it, but you remember it.

Those 19 Jihadist mass murderers on 9/11 were the lifelong products of Saudi-sponsored Wahhabi propaganda. It's easy to summarize their message even without going to your local mosque, because in Tehran they've cut it down to six words: Death to Israel! Death to America!...

Those 19 hijackers were the products of lifelong propaganda, courtesy of our friends the Saudis. That is why they were able to cut the throats of flight attendants without even thinking about it -- with cheap utility knives, without a moment of hesitation or a thought of mercy...

Now what is interesting about our Current Occupant is that he's been subjected to lifelong propaganda himself. Once upon a time Barry Soetoro was a cute little tyke, no doubt, and then a whole bunch of adults -- Stalinists, Muslims, Jeremiah Wright -- subjected him to decades of consistent anti-American propaganda. . It's the one thing both the Stalinists and the Muslims could agree on: America No, Fidel Si!

If we could look into Obama's unconscious we would find all those slogans he's heard all his life, over and over and over again. They are just on automatic. They pop out if he doesn't ride herd on them.

Unless you have been camping in the Amazon for the last several weeks you've heard about the controversy surrounding a proposed cultural center and mosque near the site of what's called ground zero in New York City's lower Manhattan.

According to a poll I saw yesterday 63% of Americans think it's a bad idea to build an Islamic cultural center and mosque near ground zero. The news media is loving the controversy, they can't stop talking about it. And President Obama was so over come by the pandering instinct last Friday night that while speaking in front of a group of Muslims honoring Ramadan he said he supported building the cultural center. Of course the next day he denied supporting it.

So since so many people are in such an uproar over this I have to ask myself why this proposed Islamic center doesn't bother me in the least.

I'm an American. I was raised in the U.S. So shouldn't I be as closed minded as everyone else? Shouldn't I both hate and be frightened of anyone who is different from me? Shouldn't I feel insulted by this cultural centers close proximity to the place that 3,000 Americans were killed on September 11, 2001?

Maybe you as well are confused by your lack of righteous indignation about this. Maybe you too feel it's really no big deal.

So what makes some Americans so closed minded, hateful and fearful when others aren't? Does it have to do with age? Seems most of the people going nuts about this are so-called baby boomers. And baby boomers are notorious chickens. They are afraid of everything. Maybe it's because they grew up just after World War 2 and during the Cold War? Maybe it has to do with them thinking America as they knew it was coming to an end during the 60's?

What ever it is I'm really getting sick of baby boomers and their nonsense. It seems all they do is protest anything or anyone different from them. The Tea Party couldn't exist without baby boomers. Fox News would be out of business with out its baby boomer viewers. The Arizona anti-immigrant laws would never have been passed without baby boomers.

Note below the crazed baby boomer hyperbole from possible 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich:

"And I think we ought to be honest about the fact that we have a right – and this happens all the time in America. You know, Nazis don't have the right to put up a sign next to the Holocaust Museum in Washington. We would never accept the Japanese putting up a site next to Pearl Harbor. There's no reason for us to accept a mosque next to the World Trade Center."

Now I understand that not every baby boomer is a crazed hater of everything. Some are totally rational people. But it's painfully obvious that baby boomers have more than their share of wackos that hate everything and everyone.

Which brings me back to the Islamic cultural center.

After writing this I realize that nothing is wrong with me. I just don't belong to a generation that is afraid of its own shadow. After all it's fear that is driving these protests against the cultural center. Fear masquerading as outrage.

Baby boomers are afraid of Muslims because they're different. And many of them are brown. And some of them have foreign accents when they speak. And because of that baby boomers see them as 'other'. And because they are other, they can be villains in this never ending melodrama performed by baby boomers over and over again. A melodrama of anger and fear.

The proposed Islamic Cultural center in lower Manhattan doesn't scare me. In fact after its built I'd like to visit it. I'm just not afraid of the stuff that a certain generation is afraid of.

I don't think baby boomers are going to change. I think they'll be riding off into the sunsets of their lives yelling and screaming and pointing fingers. So it's up to the rest of us to not let them destroy what America is supposed to be about. And that thing is hope. A hope that we Americans can turn corners when needed and do better. That we can overcome differences by realizing how much we all have in common.

America can survive an Islamic cultural center in Lower Manhattan just a few blocks from ground zero but I'm not sure we can survive the baby boomer generation.

Obama, stop being such a wuss

President Obama was presented with a rare opportunity to transcend petty greed driven politics. Unfortunately, he is squandering the opportunity. His failure to confront and expose the well orchestrated right wing lie machine has undermined the hope of all rational, hard working Americans that we can still elect politicians who behave in accordance with their values and affect our government's actions and policies.

There is no benefit to Obama's attempts to de-polarize America by taking a passive and tolerant posture toward the right wing. This is exactly the policy taken by the Weimar Republic toward the Nazi movement in the late 20s and early thirties. Evil based on the manipulation of un-educated people by fear will lead to the next phase which is intimidation. Spineless neglect will not prevail. A true leader would confront the lies and force an atmosphere of accountability where complacency now exists. The Press will only cover the most vocal voice and the voice of truth is never the loudest

Is Government the solution or the problem?

Effective leaders in various governments have created productive jobs and steered economies from ruin to prosperity.  Freely established nations of good people have banded together to secure the peace, protect their freedom, and realize justice according to a foundation in the rule of law.

Recessions may come and go, but these are merely fluctuations in economic conditions which transcend governments, taxes, and the vicissitudes of nature. Government spending, when creatively administered, demonstrably raised all ships and move us from the great depression into a position of strength and security as the richest and most powerful nation in modern history.

Obama is creating great uncertainty by allowing the Bush tax's to continue.  His surrender to corporate insiders on health care has been a disaster, although what small steps forward which have been made are helpful. The decision by congress to consider heath insurance premiums as taxable income is insane. 

The astronomical debts run up by the Bush and Cheney administration have crippled this nation for the next half century.  If our current president would reject endless wars and occupations as a platform, we might be able to move forward. Businesses in American will hire when our government stops exporting jobs overseas in blatant surrender to transnational economic cartels who have bought this this nation. 

Personal incomes in America have been in decline for the past ten years.  Until we begin to invest in America, incomes will continue this downward spiral.
