France 2010 - Day 7.

Thursday 12th August 2010.

Last full day today :(

Started to pack after getting ready for paddling..

We met Glen and another Ben.

Glen was really nice and smiley :)

I was lying by the football pitch and heard Millie shouting my name - then the next thing I knew, other Ben grabbed my ankles and dragged me across the grass!

So we got on the coach to go paddling and arrived at the river. Our instructors were Glen, Tom and Ben :)

Me, Millie and Sarah went in the canoe together, so that was good - and we managed to stay afloat!!

One challenge was for the person at the front to swap places with the person at the back - those people being me and Sarah!!

So, somehow we managed it - i can just remember climbing over Millie's head!!

So we did pretty well with paddling - plus we never capsized which was great!

Although climbing out at the end was messing - sinking feet and all!

After lunch - and a well deserved shower - in the infamous family shower - we had mission impossible.

Nice relaxing activity - although it makes your brain hurt!!! For this, we had Ben :)

We did little teamwork challenges - like moving tyres, travelling through and over rope, riddles and running around!

Afterwards we just sat together and talked. Ben told us about how he started working at the age of 14 in a kitchen, and he moved up working in the highest of restaurants.

He was saying how he'd rather enjoy life, doing something fun, than working a long, hard job with no social aspect!

What's the point in money when you don't have friends?

Basically, money can't buy you happiness.

Later on we went down to the beach for the last time! Again me, Millie, Sarah, Dom, Jordan, Ben and Matt sat at the top of the beach, listened to music and talked and had a laugh :)

We even bought ice cream from the Skipper!!

After our time on the beach, we walked back home via the sweet stall to buy something to eat!

Back on site, Me, Millie, Sarah, Sam, Dom, Harry and Rob all sat at the end of the pitch with candles and an iPod :)

We also got photos with Rich, Glen and Joe :)

We saw Tom at the toilets and gave him his postcard - he seemed so happy with it!!

Later on we saw Jaz and Joe - who were slightly drunk to say the least!!

So that was interesting - they seemed to be having a good evening!!

Fantastic last day! So, so, so sad to be leaving tomorrow :(
