Little Banker

On Friday I decided since we didn't have anything planned, we would count up all Grant's money in his piggy bank, and open a real bank account. We got his two piggy banks, and dumped them out. We worked together to sort all the coins. Grant did a good job getting all the pennies in to a big pile. While I wrapped the other coins, Grant counted out piles of 10 pennies. He was very careful when he was counting. Once they were in piles, he put them in the penny wrappers. I added all the rolls up, and we headed to the bank.

I explained that we would be taking his money to the "big bank", and they would keep it there for him. The bank lady was very nice, and Grant was charming her from the minute we walked in. He had decided to wear his new Browns jersey that day (since Mark had a Browns shirt on).

When we got to the bank, they all had on shirts promoting their Bengals bank accounts. All the shirts had big Bengals on the back. Grant kept pointing them out and was excited to see them everywhere. One of the bankers thought it was ironic since he was wearing the Browns' jersey. ;-) While the lady was entering all our info, she was asking Grant questions, and he was talking up a storm. He talked about his baby brother, dinosaurs, football, why the lady had on a band-aid, etc. Once she was all done, we took the coins to the teller, who counted them, and Grant got a sucker! Pretty exciting trip to the bank!
