1) This question has been asked in various guises numerous times. If you look at resolved question you can see the answers. Most of the pundits amongst the press have it in the order you have written it. However, its seems they like to drive around race tracks with the arse end of the car swinging out trying to overtake the front end and being prevented from doing so by turning the steering wheel into opposite lock. That it seems is fun and defines the best car. For normal people like you and I who would get arrested if we tried to do that "down our local street" our needs are slightly different. Personally, after the last winter, I came to welcome front wheel drive and would have chopped my snowmans head off to have had 4 wheel drive (like you can get in an Audi). So, for Prestige its Merc. For build quality Audi and for out and out going fast BMW. For going up and down our excuse for roads in rain ,hail, sleet and snow... Give me that nice Audi with Quattro badges . :+ ) - L G
2) Mr. Sanjay,
the three you mentioned are powerful choices, many ask the same question but the fact is, it all depends upon what a person would prefer.
BMW: sporty, very practical, feels well balanced, the ultimate driving machine, little more reliable from personal experience.
Mercedes: Very comfortable, the most comfortable, seats are excellent, not good reliability, very luxurious from the other 3. the Mercedes you mentioned will be very fuel efficient.
Audi: Rides hard, handles fairly good, the best interior from the 3 rivals, body color is excellent, expensive to maintain, espeically with turbo.
one more thing, if your buying them used, only buy under 50K or maintainence price will hit you hard. ALWAYS BUY THE WARRANTY, do not buy the car without a warranty. maintenance warranty is required and is a must.
and remember THESE CARS TAKE PREMIUM FUEL, i have seen some people with BMWs and Audis that put regular gas, eventually you'll end up with lots of problems in the future, put premium (check manual).
Thank you,

3) We have run A4's for many years and have been very happy with them. However, we have now bought a BMW 3 series Efficient Dynamics and can truly say that it has been a revelation. There are elements of the shape that concern me, especially the way the rear window slopes down to the boot, but overall it is a great car. Good performance and extremely frugal on diesel. Handles well and looks good. I like both the A4 and series 3 but you need to test drive the three models to see which you enjoy driving. - roger.williams20@btinternet.com
4) These are all good examples of prestige compact executive cars. The driving feel, ride and performance will vary considerably with the different engines and other specs, such as wheel size and sports suspension. Not to mention, radios, aircon, sunroof, seat style, lighting etc. The options lists are huge. The most expensive will be double or more the cost of the cheapest. Of course they are all German brands, though some are made in the USA
There is no substitute for driving a number of models.
You wouldn't choose a painting over the phone so why choose a car by asking here!
Happy motoring! - Nick
5) Do you live where it snows and/or rains a majority of the year? If so, the A4 is the obvious choice.
The 3-series has won a lot of awards, more than the C class and A4, but Audi is catching up the last few years. Benz is falling behind in performance, but the quality put into making their cars are top notch.
I, myself own an A4 and I love it to death. - Benji
6) i had an a4, i currently drive a bmw. all 3 are great and it comes down to personal choice. i think you should have looked up previous answers before you posted this though as it has been answered more times than i can count allready.

7) Hi am going to speak from exper and to be most honest I would say to get a Audi A4, again all this cars are great cars but for your money I would recommend a audi. I had all tree cars http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=350tD8E7htM, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0a5h94IGxmk, also please see the reviews on this cars and you will see. I realy did not like my mer c class gas was great but it alway had problems with coil and electronic, it was nice in side. but looks aren't everything.. and the BMW was extremly small and very uncoutable, and parts was expencive like the rest of them but if you take good care AUDI will last you a good 10 plus years if you take of it, it will take care of you. I LOVE MY AUDI A4 and this my 2nd one I started with a A$ 2004 used with 78000 mile and i felt inlove with now I have 2009 a4 3.0t. look luck... - Sam
8) I have an A4 so theres my bais and u can guess what im gonna suggest.
A4- Best interior, nice fit and finish, good touch points, good power on all engines, quattro is simpy amazing. Handling is great for a awd car. Good ride not too hard but you feel connected. IMO the best of the bunch. But if you go for fwd on this then dont get the a4, it looses its magic without quattro. Sadly has lots of electrical issues, you will see lots of dealership visits in the future. $$$ to fix. Make sure your under warranty.
3-series-Great car, very sporty, great fit and finish, sometimes smells like crayola crayons inside(BMW's are notorious for that) its truly disgusting for a expensive lux car. I expect better from them. All engines are great but not fuel economic. Ride is roughest from the bunch. One good thing is BMW's are built well, the best from german cars in my opinion.
C-class- We have a ML in the family and its great for what we use it for. The Mercedes gives you this sense of prestige somehow (its a good feeling). Ok quality, since Diamler Chrysler took over its been going downhill but supposedly the quality is coming back. Power delivery is nice even on the CDI lots of torque. Very nice ride, great leather, very safe, mechanicly well built. Expensive to repair. But rarely does in need service. - Andrew Rozario
9) I would get a BMW over any of those other two. They are generally better cars. Audi and Mercedes are less user friendly to work on. - toussi1

Question 2
what type of engine oil should I use for my 2005 audi allroad?...
Answers
1) Mobil 1/Rotela T in my audi engine - aa
2) I would use Mobil 1 synthetic oil! to me, brand isnt a big deal, but just make sure you use synthetic and it only needs to be replaced between 5000-1500 miles as where normal is at every 3000miles - Corey
3) any premium 5-40 or 5-50 fully synthetic oil, audi oil changes are every 10,000 miles or 12 months, domestic V6s and V8s need more frequent oil changes because the engines are not very well made - Harley Drive
4) You need to know whether it is Diesel or Petrol. Any motor factor's or Halfords branch have the data. You should have it with the vehicle handbook. - L G
5) you need to use long life oil 0w30is vw and audi oil only,if you ask any vw or audi technician they say you that - oskarciu
6) In the UK, Castrol longlife is the default.
Here is a link to their site, describing the latest spec.

Question 3
Are audi's reliable good cars?... http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/ctd/1892193359.html
this is the audi im looking to buy, assume i drive the speed limit, drive it nice and safe, will it be fine? anything to worry about
Answers
1) for the most part they are pretty reliable cars. - Dan
2) Not at all. I mean they are great cars, but you will spend alot with maintenance. Its not like a honda or toyota. I got a 2006 a4 as a 17th birthday present and my car has tons of problems. I got it with 64,000mi. At 65,000mi i had to change the camshafts and the cam follower, and the sensor. Now my suspension makes a metal clanking noise, i don't even drive the car rough. Now my Bi-Xenon headlights flicker and shut off. Audi dosen't want to do anything about it. The engineers cant even figure out what is wrong with it. Honestly it is a safety problem and im not the only one with that issue. Me and a bunch of guys on a forum are trying to make a recall.
Bottom line audi's are nice cars but $$$ to maintain. The handle great and build quality is solid. As far as german cars go, you really get your moneys worth. Although i would prefer a BMW but quattro is necessary for me. Driving the car just puts a smile on your face, its that kind of car. As far as issues go all i can say is Audi is notorious for electrical problems mostly. Their cars are fitted with a bunch of sensors, and whenever the break (very often) they cause CEL's. Besides that they are great machines. And quattro is simply amazing. - Andrew Rozario
3) the A4 is a VW Passat, so they will be more reliable than full luxury brands like BMW, Merc. Jaguar, because they are mainstream cars with just different sheet metal. - Landon
4) Very beautiful car, go for it, they are great cars, and very reliable. We have had 6 Audis, and 4 are still with us, and the run very well. Good luck man, you have a good car there. - Micah
5) yes they are very well made cars but that does not mean they will not have repair bills and they cost more to maintain than a domestic vehicle does. if repair costs are an issue get a more affordable vehicle.
-johnny wadd - Johnny Wadd
6) Always have a Private Party Inspection (PPI) done by an independent mechanic or shop of your choosing. Pull the Carfax report as well. Audi's in general are reliable cars if properly serviced and maintained. - Gray Area

Question 4
BMW or Audi or Mercedes Benz or Lexus?... talking about the 2009 4 door Sedans
BMW models M3,M5
Audi models RS4, RS6
Mercedes Benz models Any AMG
Lexus models IS-F
How would the list look from best to good
Answers
1) bmw - dee
2) You're comparing Lexus to BM, Audi and Benz? smh.
Can't go wrong with any of the German makes and models. I would personally go for the M3 Coupe, because that thing is ultra sexy. Performance-wise, they're similar, but Audi comes out ahead with AWD. - Benji
3) you are really talking about personal preference for the first three as they are all good. im really not sure lexus belongs in this question.
-johnny wadd - Johnny Wadd
4) For the ones who are about to bash the lexus, which I am assuming is everyone, Please give it a break, its their first attempt to make such a good car.
Honestly I think every car on the list is good, or I should say excellent.
The BMW is an excellent track car, if I am rich and I get bored at home, get in my M3 and run some rounds around the track
The Mercedes is an excellent car, if I want to act as a 7 year old again, just pull it out of the driveway and FLOOR IT......I gotta admit the M156 V8 AMG is one of the best engines ever made and that exhaust note, thats MY TYPE OF PORN
The Audi is an excellent car, if I am taking my wife to dinner, or just driving her around for fun, the AWD will keep me safe, the manual gear box is just spectacular, and since there's hardly any room in the back, its just for me and my wife to make love.
The Lexus is an excellent car which nobody except me would pick, first it looks great, its very comfortable except in some part it will ride hard, the best thing is that its VERY RELIABLE, the 5.0L V8 will cause me no problems and I can keep it over 150K with no warranty, unlike the germans thats their biggest downfall. My wife can even drive that to work and embarass her friends, "I've got a 5.0L V8 and you've got puny 1.8L Honda Fit....in your face suckerz!!!!
I don't have a personal list for which one is the best to which is the worst, I am sure everyone will hate the lexus.
the way I judge the 4 wonders are:
AMG:
GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAYYY, I MAKE OTHER MEN CRY WITH MY LOUD EXHAUST AND PULL OTHER WOMANS SKIRT AHAHAHHAHA!!!!
RS4 / RS6:
YOU SEE THESE 18s ON MY FEET, BACK OF SUCKER. YOU AINT GOT MY POWER. IM A STREET BRAWLER WITH XENONS
///M3 ///M5:
4 WORDS THAT DEFINE THIS CAR:
"""THE ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE"""
F:
I AM JUST A NEWBIE WITH A 5.0L V8, MY LOOKS CONFUSE YOU SO YOU CAN GET INTO AN ACCIDENT AND CRY TO YOUR MOMMY.
I love all these cars, Mercedes C63 AMG, Lexus IS-F, Audi RS4 BMW M3
the 4 best cars ever made, with one of the best engines in our time, S65, M156, 4.2L V8, 2UR-GSE
Personally the lexus i think would be a good everyday car because its Japanese, I know for my answer i will get alot of downs but this is just me, if you are against my opinion. Please keep it to yourself
to the guy who said M3 coupe is ultra sexy, alot of M3 fans love the sedan, sedan looks like a thug. Sadly BMW will not make another Sedan next generation, E90 will always be remembered, she is something special.
****Oh By the way:
you know how you said M3, M5, RS4, RS6, C63, E63, well from Lexus its IS-F, GS-F
http://blog.leasetrader.com/images/blog_leasetrader_com/WindowsLiveWriter/NEWLexusGSF_103FC/Lexus%20GS-F_thumb.jpg - AUDI RS4 RULES!!!!
5) In the four doors Saloons
Bmw - the original, funnest to drive and powerful
Merc - only because i perfer bmw
Cts-v While its fairly new its pretty dam agressive and powerfull reliability is a question
Lexus IS-F granted its a pig on wheels and a automatic, but its got a 8 speed tranny and can outshift most manual drivers. But that said its still lacks the spirit of a sports sedan
Audi is just a volkswagen that weighs alittle less and has led lights, plus most of the line up is front wheel drive.... I just dont belive front wheel drives are "sporty" due to the uneven handling, torque steer, and lack of engine size. Yea i know im gonna get some thumbs down, but when do you see front wheel drive cars besides tunned rice burners beating the stock rear wheel drive counterparts. - Bakon (future ex-con)
6) Personally i would take the RS4 but im bias only because i have an A4 and absolutely love it.
This is how i rank the cars
RS4-Great performance car, although not as nimble as the m3 still very sharp great 6 speed. Quattro is great and only awd in the class.
M3-It's the benchmark for a reason. The class is performance and M3 delivers. Great 6 speed, loads of fun to drive.
Amg-I have a Mercedes and love it too, these cars are very solid. Something about mercedes v8's its just undescribable. The sound and rush of power is simply amazing. Mercedes is more of the highway car that can pull hard. Not much on handling. Drove the C63 and what a handfull that car is.
LF-A- Sadly i dont care for it much at all. I mean yea its powerful and almost as fast as the m3. But with only an auto, its just not that fun. It's very twitchy at the limit and not that great on handling. Bottom line its a lexus it will never be that fun. - Andrew Rozario

Question 5
Audi Quattro TT, 2000?... I am looking for a new vehicle, and I have seen a few 2000 Audi Quattro TTs for sale. I am very interested in this vehicle since they are not the most expensive car out there, and provide a nice look.
I am wondering, is the servicing and parts on this vehicle gonna cost a fortune? And do you know if the cars are any good in terms of reliability?
Thank you.
Answers
1) co$t u arm & leg - v
2) Hi Cansat,
I'm Audi TT roadster 2001 owner and it is really a nice and reliable car like german cars. Concerning the servicing, it is not more expensive than other car ... indeed, you don't need to go to dealer apart from the regular services !
Nevertheless, the Quattro system can be more expensive than an other TT model due to the Haldex servicing. - Alex
3) After 10 years a Quattro could be pricey. It has 4 wheel drive so the transmission is expensive if it fails. However, engines are very strong and good for at least 150,000 miles with no major issues, though check cambelt has been changed recently. A good service history is vital.
In the UK, Audi dealers do fixed price servicing after 3 years, but independent dealers are cheaper. I recall the same from my visits to the USA.
If you are still keen, spend some time on an Audi forum like this:-http://www.audi-forums.com/ - Nick
4) contrary to what you would expect the quattro system makes the transmission parts lasts longer because you have the power split four ways rather than two so stress on bearings and drive shafts is less - Harley Drive
5) they are well made and reliable but insurance and repairs cost more on a luxury vehicle and you need to make sure you can afford all the costs associated with owning a vehicle before you buy one. if you can great, if you cannot find something that fits your budget.
-johnny wadd - Johnny Wadd
