Do you know what it means to love New Orleans?

Had to go back to my second home, ya'll.

I attended the National Bar Association conference with the Organization of Black Screenwriters President, Jennifer Williams. She spoke on an entertainment panel and I tagged along to see my peeps and get my eat on.

Caught up with my dear sweet friend, Chandra, and all my friends and adopted family in New Orleans (Queen Mother of the Nation, Joyce Montana Love you!, and the true Keeper of the Flame, Sylvester Francis and my beloved Backstreet cultural Museum). Got a chance to catch a set by Kermit Ruffins who shocked me with some news, but I'm keeping mum. It's all good Kermit!

Ate at my favorite spot, Cajun Seafood, and stufffed myself with the best pralines. Got to see a ton of fine black professional men (as well as some sharp sisters practicing law, but quite frankly it's hard to focus when you see fine black men.)

Also attended another jazz funeral, and was royally pissed that Armstrong Park, home of Congo Square was still closed. (Damn you Nagin!)

Still tired, and still craving another shrimp po boy!
