Making money online is simpleYes, you read that right!making money online is simple.

There are many, many different internet business models.

Maybe youve identified a hot selling product on eBay and youve found a wholesaler who will supply you cheaply.

Maybe youve written an eBook or created a video tutorial course that you plan to sell through ClickBanks army of affiliates.

Perhaps youve built a great content website that will attract lots of traffic and youve monetised it with Google Adsense,

or perhaps you plan to build a mailing list by giving away quality free reports and recommend products to your list as an affiliate.

This list could go on and on and is only constrained by your own imagination.

Personally I prefer a mix of different business models, I earn a little here and a little there by using all of the above ideas and more. The more diverse my business models are the more robust my business is as a whole.

If its so simple to make money online, why do 95% of the people who try to do it fail?

Ive been at this internet marketing business for a while now and I have discovered the two main reasons why new marketers fail.

Is it because they fail to come up with an internet business model that works?

Is it because they dont have the right skills to build websites or drive traffic?

Is it because they need start up money and cant raise it?.

No, the main reason why people fail is they fail to take ACTION.

Failing to take action has probably destroyed more marketing careers than anything else and I am as guilty of this as anybody.

I discover a great internet business model then begin to plan how I will exploit it, the mistake I then make is to over yse it to the point where I get struck down by ysis paralysis and eventually I come up with lots of reasons why the idea wont work and convince myself to give it up before Ive even started!

The answer here is to follow the advice in the famous ad and just do it, get your site out there, you dont have to be an expert at everything before you start and your offering doesnt have to be perfect in every detail, just get it out there, you can always tweak it once its up.

How many big product launches have you looked at and been surprised to find typos in the sales copy? This is because successful marketers know the value of taking action, they dont spend months perfecting their offer, they get it up, squeeze it till the pips squeak and move on to the next launch.

The second enemy of the new marketer is;

DISTRACTION.

This is how it goes with me;

Im working diligently on my latest project when I encounter a barrier to my progress, maybe I need some specialist help to complete my task such as web page coding, Im rubbish at this!

Anyway I decide to fire off an email to my tech but before I do I notice a message in my in-box, an email about the latest big must have product launch, and I need to act fast because the special launch discount ends today, I click the link and lose myself in the slick sales copy, I begin to imagine the huge profits Ill make when I put this new product into action, I marvel at the proof of earnings screen shots, I read every testimonial twice until I can resist no more and out comes the credit card and click goes the buy now button!

Im sure youve been there yourself.

It takes self discipline to avoid distraction but here are a few techniques that help me;

Dont be afraid to unsubscribe;

If you are on lots of mailing lists you will receive lots of promo emails, the answer here is to keep the newsletters that provide helpful content and cancel the ones that bombard you with all the latest product launches.

Do the stuff that builds your business first thing every day;

Do it before you open your in box. Do it before you visit your favourite forum. Do it before you visit your social networks.

And focus;

write a to do list every day with the most important tasks at the top and tackle them in that order and tick off your tasks as you complete them. Tackle one task at a time, trying to work on several projects at once will reduce your productivity.

There are many internet business models that work, the hard part is taking that first step and once youve taken it resisting the attention stealers.
