Obama says he's on track to end Iraq war

US president affirms troops' return home from Iraq. During an address to the Disabled Veterans Convention in Georgia, USA President Obama reiterated plans to withdraw all of the remaining 15,000 combat troops from Iraq by August 31. This brings the total reduction of troops to 94,000 who have come home since the President assumed office in January 2009. The remaining 50,000 non-combat personnel will serve in training and advisory roles only until the end of 2011. President Obama stated, "Make no mistake: Our commitment in Iraq is changing - from a military effort led by our troops to a civilian effort led by our diplomats." The president also pledged to improve health care for veterans of both Iraq and Afghanistan, especially benefits for the disabled.

Our respectful appreciation, Your Excellency and United States, for your continued advancements toward peace. Wishing the returning soldiers a swift journey home to eagerly awaiting loved ones as we pray for lasting harmony among the people of Iraq, Afghanistan and the world.
