The Runaways (Not Based off the movie released this year)

Another story from a writer who refuses to reveal his or her name or the story they wrote. I can only write this story as fanfiction.

Moira and Jezebel are living extremely hard lives in separate parts of the city. But things get worse when both girls end up becoming the victims of abuse by a disabled man who cannot be placed in jail because he is the son of a respected councilman.

Moira and Jezzie love music and dream of being famous pop singers. They also dream of being able to one day help others overcome the effects of being abused by the same cruel man as well.

So after Jezzie complains of abuse and the councilman overhears, chaos reigns supreme. Their classmates shun them and their parents throw them out of their houses. Together with a boy named Ari, they run away from home and settle into various cities in the U.S., often dodging adults and predatory strangers and going to whatever schools they can afford to attend. They also form a band and play at whatever events that are available.

Several years pass, and with the addition of another boy named Leon, the Runaways become a hit band with several #1 singles, playing sold-out concerts and living the high life. Their families back home are still living the same pathetic lives their daughters abandoned. But their troubles have not ended yet, for word got out about the cruel man's return and he demanding the girls, but Moira and Jezzie expose him on national TV, which sets a huge course in which the lives of their hometown are changed forever.
