Question 2
EVO 8 motor on a 1995 eclipse gs?... ok so i have this 95 eclipse shell sitting in my yard and its been long now i have to either get rid of it or put a motor in it. and i dont want to put a stock non turbo motor in it and ive heard that it is way too complicated to get a gst motor in it so then i heard a rumor that its actually easier to drop a stock evo 8 motor in it so yeah i know "search it on google" but im actually looking to get an answer from someone who's maybe done it? or at least has great knowledge. many thanks!
Answers
1) As for if it can be done or not anything is possible, but how much money your willing to dump into it is the real question. Size wise im sure it would fit however after all the money you would spend in fabrication, since the eclipse is a FWD and evos are AWD, getting a motor, and all misc you would be better off just selling it & getting yourself an evo. You would get better performance from that method anyway.
Recommendation: Get a 420A and turbo it. - KairuSS/RS
2) Too expensive for that car. Just saying. You don't drop in 7-8k worth of parts in a 95 eclipse. Might as well just buy a salvage evo and replace the damaged components and have a better car. I'm not even sure how hard it would be to convert it to AWD (which all evos are)...this would be a fwd eclipse. - Theneelster
3) yes u can! it sits in the same position as the original 420a engine does. this kind of swap has been done 4 years but its very are 2 find on a 420a-eclipse shell. its a pretty common swap in places like korea and malaysia. if u do decide 2 do it, u have a s***load of things 2 buy 4 it.....new 4g63 evo mounts, wiring, ECU, and its transmission just 2 name a few. that engine gets REALLY hot in optimal range and is very demanding cuz its turbocharged so u need extra re-inforcment in the cooling systems, too.
go 2 msn.com's bing search and look up "420a to 4g63t Evolution swap". its a red eclipse with the evo engine and trans. it will take a few pages 2 find but itll show up!! i think the site is dsmtalk.com 2 b exact? i know 4 sure its sumthing with dsm in the site name though!
anyway, yes it is possible! but costs a hefty penny! - Brian

Question 3
Why is smoke coming out of the my newly installed turbo?... I have an 2008 lancer evo and just installed a turbo today it took some time being my first time installing a turbo by now smoke is coming out did I forget something any tips how to fix this.
Oh yeah thas right your a genius thanks the oil I forgot to put the oil lol man that evo is gona Kick some ass now. Thanks Gus
Answers
1) did you put oil in it? - Gus
2) Let's start with the easiest answer. Check the belt that drives the turbo. It may be too loose and is spinning causing friction on the turbo pulley. The worst case senario is that your lancer evo cannot support the power of the turbo and your engine is burning up. This is not the 1950's when add ons could "juice" up your engines. Today computers control the entire operations of a car. It takes all of the fun out of drag racing. You can no longer build a 1940's Ford flathead into a dyno machine with twin high rise four barrel carbs, racing cam, and be ported and blue printed. Mechanics today are not. They look at a computer, wear their white lab coats, and depend on computers to tell thm what's wrong. If they can't they call their mommies. Real men and real cars, for the most part, are gone. - Norma
3) Gus and Norma do not know anything about turbos. you don't need to fill the turbo with oil, there is an oil feed line for that and there is no belt on a turbo, that is a supercharger.
we will assume for the minute you installed it correctly, ie, bolted it up correctly and installed the oil lines (feed and drain). first and foremost turbos come with a film of oil and other things on it to keep it from rusting on the shelf. when you heat it up by driving the car, then these material burn off and cause smoke. the other thing is that the oil pressure is too high or you have a bad seal in the turbo and it is allowing oil to pass into the intake and/or exhaust side of the turbo and is burning oil.
If you didn't install it correctly, you need to STOP what you are doing and have it towed (flatbed truck it is AWD) to a proper mechanic and have them fix what you have done. if you really forgot to hook up the oil lines, 2 things, 1, you have a huge oil leak coming from the line that is supposed to be hooked ot the turbo and 2 you have trashed your new turbo, they need oil to keep from overheating and destroying themselves. - gotrnet

Question 4
Can any one give me some?... Hi,
I have a Mitsubishi Pinnin, (yes I know!) on the dash there is an icon, ''check engine indication lamp'' which has become illuminated, it looks like an engine block, and the hand book tells me 'on-board' diagnostics indication lamp, emissions, engine & auto systems. Mine's manual. It has illuminated a no specific mileage reference point, and the engine oil level is ok, no auto, and the exhaust system is ok.
Can any one suggest what may have caused this light to come on please?
Answers
1) CEL does not illuminate at a specific mileage reference point. Scan your vihicle for DTC and see which area needs attentinon. - Oliver
2) There is a problem. It may not be apparent to you, but the car's computer knows. The light tells that something is wrong, though the car didn't strand you, don't wait until thnigs get more serious. Have the car OBD2 checked and note what the trouble codes are and find out what the codes mean. Fix the problem before it fixes you. That's the whole point of warning- to keep you out of trouble. - don r
3) Take it to autozone or discount auto parts and have them scan the OBD2 with their scanner (FREE)each sensor has a code that will be reflected on the onboard vehicle computer and they may be able to tell you which sensor went bad. In case they don't have them write down your diagnostic code and check with the dealer. Hope this helped and good luck - Efrain

Question 5
Can I make a Mitsubushi Eclipse GSX look less weird?... Okay, I found a really nice and great 95 GSX
and I HATE the front end of the car.. I was wondering If I could change the front bumper to either a normal 90s eclipse or a custom one..
How can I get it from

Answers
1) i always thought the gsx had the turbo spoiler not the base? and thats a body kit on the 2nd pic, ghey as well.. civics. - T-82 305
2) Changing it's bumper to look like the 90s eclipse is a good idea but its not an easy thing to do. You have to custom built a bumper to fit the 95 GSX. - Brandon Mitchell
3) T-82 305, the 95-96 GSX had the normal RS/GS spoiler. The 97-99 received the taller Turbo Spoiler...Also the second pic is the stock 97-99 GSX with factory front bumper and side skirts...not after market.
So the first pic is of the 95-96 Eclipse...the second is of the 97-99 GSX. The front bumper cover of the 97-99 Eclipse will bolt on, however, you will have to also install the 97-99 headlights, fenders, and hood as well...I suggest you find a junk yard with a rear wrecked 97-99 GSX and raid the front end... - evaohell
