3)   There really matched well number wise. 412hp (mustang) vs. 414hp (bmw). They are both v8s but the bmw is a small higher revving one compared to the mustang's 5.0. Whats surprising is that the mustang makes more g's , .94 vs .92 (you would think its the other way around right?). Does 2003 BMW 325xi or BMW 330xi require premium as or anything other than unleaded?...

2)   A BMW runs best on the recommended Premium gas. If you use Regular, the fuel injection computer will adjust the timing for it. Your fuel mileage will go down about 10%, cancelling out any perceived savings. If you are driving at higher altitudes, such as above 4000 ft, you can go to mid-grade, since the car is going to run worse anyway due to the lower oxygen content of the combustion air. - Suki

3)   it will say on the inside of the gas cap to use premium gas. these cars run best on premium fuel.

2)   its a hundred thousand dollar car dude, the kind of person who can afford a car like that will go out and buy the new model when it comes out. its not that its a bad car. get a carfax and make sure the car has been well maintained. however, judging by your lack of grammar and the fact that you had to ask why someone that spent a hundred grand on a car would get rid of it in 6 years and buy another one im thinking this car is out of your league anyway.

How much as oil changes usually for Mercedes Benz or BMW cars?...  I was thinking about purchasing a newer BMW 3 series or Mercedes Benz C-Class vehicle but my mother told me not to because the maintenance is pricey. Does anyone know any more information on oil changes, repairs, etc. on these German cars versus a luxury Japanese car like an Infiniti or a Lexus?

1)   If you like power class style and luxury than go for BMW sedan, Lexus is not good in the segment of sedan cars so far, if you are willing to spend some extra than buy Lexus RX 350 with full luxury options and its a SUV with city drive comforts and off road features also. Merc C-class is a glorified mule.

When it comes to maintenance Merc is very high maintenance car comparative to BMW. BMW oil and filter is expensive but its good long run sedan and their is no regular repairs required in new 3 series. Keep a watch on the road you will never find a new 3 series towed to garage, but you will often find C-class enjoying a luxury towing wagon rides :) - balcyo

2)   all those cars you mentioned will be more to maintain than say a honda or toyota. if repair costs are of concern to you dont get a luxury car. you need to make sure you can afford all the costs of owning a vehicle before you buy one.

3)   Your going to be talking about $80 for the BMW. The Mercedes should be about the same. Reason they use about 6-8 Quarts of oil, more than a regular car.

Also the oil is more expensive along with the filter. - toussi1
