AFL-CIO Union [Thug] President [And Obama Adviser] Who Attacked Sarah Palin Has Long History Of Violence And Murder

Union corruption and violence is nothing new. Been with us from the very start. We’ve written about it ourselves, covering such events as Barack Obama’s personal union thugs from the SEIU attacking Kenneth Gladney at a 2009 townhall meeting in St Louis, and the attacks in California.

In St Louis Gladney, a black man, was attacked by a horde of Obama’s purple shirted SEIU storm troopers who beat the man unconscious, stomping him all the while calling him a n*gg*r.

Labor unions are nothing more than organized crime, havens for Marxists-progressives (communists) and anti-American types. Their entire purpose is to shake down employers and members in order to enrich and empower the leadership.

And shill for the Marxist-democrat party, of course.

Anyhow, this thug leader, Richard Trumka, one of Barack Obama’s top labor advisers, decided to take a swing at Sarah Palin. As expected, he did this by spewing hate, lies, and suggesting violence. He’s a thug, it’s what they do.

Part of what this thug had to say:

And down in Tyler, Texas, she’s talking about — and I quote — 'union thugs.' What? Her husband’s a union man. Is she calling him a thug? Sarah Palin ought to know what union men and women are...

That’s poisonous. There’s history behind that rhetoric. That’s how bosses and politicians in decades past justified the terrorizing of workers, the murdering of organizers.....She’s using crosshairs to illustrate targeted legislators.

She’s on the wrong side of the line there. She’s getting close to calling for violence. And some of her fans take that stuff seriously. We’ve got legislators in America who have been living with death threats since the health care votes.

Obviously, this guy is a liar. We all know better than what this idiot is spouting. It’s funny, for all of the supposed "violence" from patriots like Sarah, and the Tea Party, it always turns out to be some left wing freak that is behind it all.

The latest example of this involves the firebombing of Congressman Russ Carnahan’s office. The media was quick to blame the Tea Party and conservatives in general. Turns out the culprit (allegedly) was Chris Powers who worked for Carnahan as a paid staffer. It seems that Carnahan stiffed the guy, owed him money. In typical loving, understanding far left fashion, Powers thought it best to firebomb the Congressman’s office as the best way to get paid his due.

Of course, when you side is led by people like street thug ... er ... "community organizer" Barack Obama, murdering terrorist Bill Ayers, and this major league thug Richard Trumka, what are you gonna do?

Big Government has the whole sordid tale here.

Speaking of Trumka, YID with LID has compiled a nice little compilation of his "greatest hits." And by "hits" I mean that in the "Goodfellows" sort of way!

* UMWA President Richard Trumka…urged union members to…‘kick the (expletive) out of every last one of ‘em.’ ("Sabotage Attempt Foiled at Peabody Coal Beltline." Nashville News [Nashville, IL] 8 Sept. 1993)

* "You’d have to be very naVve to believe that if management brought in scabs, there won’t be something somewhere."(Sands, David R. "Striking miners: Big Coal not serious." Washington Times 3 Sept. 1993)

* "I’m saying if you strike a match and you put your finger in it, you’re likely to get burned. That doesn’t mean I’m threatening to burn you. That just means if you strike the match, and you put your finger in it, common sense will tell you it’ll burn your finger."( McClain, John D. "Violence possible UMW chief says." Virginian-Pilot [Hampton Roads, VA] 3 Sept.1993)

Mr. Trumka can't be accused of being "all talk." With the help of his fellow union thugs his words were translated into violent action.

* 1993 UMW strike against Peabody Coal -- Eddie York, a 39 year old nonunion worker, "was shot in the back of the head and killed" leaving a job in Logan County, West Virginia. "Guards told police the truck careened across the road and went into a ditch. When guards rushed over to check on York, they continued to be pelted with rocks, guards told police."(Sanders, Pat. "Trumka calls for peace as probe continues." Charleston Daily Mail 24 July 1993)

* In a detailed account of the York murder and subsequent investigation, Reader’s Digest noted that "UMW President Richard Trumka did not publicly discipline or reprimand a single striker present when York was killed. In fact, all eight were helped out financially by the local." Eventually, the union agreed to let the company "dismiss the eight original defendants if they were convicted," but when the company "issued letters of dismissal to the seven pickets who pleaded guilty," the union filed a grievance on their behalf.(Fitzgerald, Randy. "Murder in Logan County." Reader's Digest Feb. 1995)

You know what other democrat organization used to shelter their violent members if they had trouble with the law?

The Klan.

Take a peak at this short film discussing the York murder:

The Lid continues:

* 1985 UMW strike against A.T. Massey Coal -- "At the Sprouse Creek Processing Co., Buddy McCoy was a union man who crossed the picket line to become a foreman. ‘I had a family to care for,’ says McCoy, who received a three-stitch gash in the head from marauding strikers after his defection." (Trippett, Frank. "Violence in the Coalfields." Time. 21 June 2005)

* 1989 UMW strike against Pittston Coal -- Virginia Circuit Court JudgeDonald McGlothlin Jr. declared that "the evidence shows beyond any shadow of a doubt that violent activities are being organized, orchestrated and encouraged by the leadership of this union." (Feder, Don. "Senate takes a walk on issue of labor unrest." Boston Herald 29 Apr. 1990)

* Unanimous Virginia Supreme Court reinforced Judge McGlothlin’s findings: "Union officials took active roles in these unlawful activities. Notwithstanding the large fines, the Union never represented to the court that it regretted or intended to cease its lawless actions. To the contrary, the utter defiance of the rule of law continued unabated." (Miller, Steven. "Louts and Rat World." Nevada Journal July 1990)

Even after he left the Union to go to the AFL-CIO, Trumka incited violence in the UMWA

* When Trumka and UMWA President Cecil Roberts came to Bentleyville, Pennsylvania in April 1998, fifty rank-and-file union members gathered outside the hall where they spoke to protest their leaders' policies. "Within minutes," wrote leftwing journalist Paul Scherrer, "a group of UMWA officials and their supporters attacked the protesting miners, ripping leaflets and protest signs from their hands. Several miners were punched, knocked to the ground and kicked repeatedly. [Richard] Cicci was hit with a piece of lumber and suffered a large gash on his head." "Richard Trumka," reported Scherrer, "refused to answer questions about the assault." In other words, by his silence he gave tacit assent to such violence.

Before he brands other people as using incendiary language AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka should look at his own house, because he is a union thug of the worst kind. Sarah Palin has never told people to harm others. On the other hand, as UMWA President Richard Trumka, used rhetoric that not only seemed to be calling for violence, but excused it after it happened.

David Horowitz’s Discover The Networks, a website every American should have bookmarked as a ready reference of all left-wingers, has an incredible amount of information on Trumka, including this about a money laundering scheme that involved some of the most prominent Marxist-democrats in America:

One condition of the AFL-CIO merger of 1955 was that outright Communists be purged from CIO unions. The AFL-CIO in 1957 instituted a rule that required any union official invoking his Fifth Amendment right (to avoid incriminating himself before a congressional committee) to be removed from his position. But when Richard Trumka twice invoked his Fifth Amendment right in a case involving a corruption and money-laundering scandal during the late 1990s, the response by AFL-CIO President John Sweeney was to purge the rule instead of the rule-breaker Trumka.

This case involved the Teamsters Union, whose President Ron Carey faced likely defeat in his 1996 run for re-election. According to congressional testimony, Carey agreed to raise $1 million for the Democratic National Committee if $100,000 could be provided to him immediately to finance his re-election campaign. In this shell game, as witnesses explained it, the Teamsters Union paid $150,000 to the AFL-CIO, the same amount which its Secretary-Treasurer Richard Trumka immediately thereafter gave from AFL-CIO accounts to the leftwing political group Citizen Action, which within days provided $100,000 to the Carey campaign.

Among those named by witnesses and investigators as involved in this scheme to illegally fund and influence a union election were Richard Trumka, Ron Carey, Andrew Stern, AFSCME President Gerald McEntee, Bill Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff Harold Ickes, and Clinton-Gore fundraiser Terry McAuliffe.

We certainly recognize the names above. McAuliffe is the former Chairman of the Democrat National Committee, and headed Bill Clinton’s multimillion-dollar legal defense fund during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Andy Stern, a communist, who just stepped down as the head of the SEIU, is also one of Obama’s BFF’s, and has visited the White House more than any single person since the Obama regime has been in power.

Obama, and really the Marxist-democrat party as a whole, is very comfortable hanging with organized crime.

For more on Trumka and his lengthy career as a union thug leader, visit Discover The Networks here.

Honestly, Im not sure what gets me going more, the fact this thug had the gall to trash talk Sarah Palin with a bunch of lies, or the fact this loser is one of Barack Obama’s top advisers. I mean this guy has some serious nerve to call someone out, falsely accuse them of instigating violence, when they themselves are nothing more Than violent, murderous criminals themselves.

Violent thugs like AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka are why I support, and encourage all Americans to support, the National Right To Work Law.

Living in Texas, a Right To Work State, I can tell you it is a major reason why our economy is the nation’s strongest, and has been for years. Unions destroy every industry the dominate. That’s just the facts. In Right To Work States, they have little influence, or power.

I have no problem with workers that want to organize for their benefit. That should always be their right. By the same token though, no worker should ever be forced to pay a third party just for the privilege of employment. This is no better than paying the local mafioso "tribute" for the right to exist.

Unions provide absolutely no service to workers. They only exist to enrich their leadership, and gain power, by using union dues to fund Marxist-democrat candidates and far left causes.

Sarah Palin is a big girl, she’ll handle this thug like she handles the others who dare tangle with her, but what does it say about our nation that we allow such a violent man to be a close adviser to the President of the United States?

Quote of the Day (August 17, 2010)

*
Bluegrass Pundit:

"I am not sure [the] video ad, attacking Sarah Palin, by the pro-choice EMILY's List PAC has the desired impact. The women in the ad look ridiculous in their bear costumes and makeup. I almost fell out of my chair laughing when they started growling."

Ewok's List anti-Palin attack ad FAIL

*
What were they thinking?

When we reported Monday that the pro-abortion group Emily's List was launching a campaign targeting (ahem!) Sarah Palin and her Mama Grizzlies, we expected a lot of hate and a lot of lies from their effort. But no way we could have predicted what a ridiculously stupid ad these leftists would cobble together.

Ed Morrissey debunks the lies in the Emily Listers' campaign here. But now for the really surrealistic part...

Here's Ace:

A method of getting an internet ad a lot of views is to make it so strange people just view it for the WTF factor.

Is that what Emily's List is doing here?

If so, they've failed; this makes them look stupid (and... physically unattractive), but it's too cutesy and contrived for anyone to care about.

So here's their big Palin-Hate ad, featuring... Ewoks, which really isn't how liberal women ought to be selling themselves.

[...]

Silly costumes sort of remind people that these women have to play dress up to be Mama Grizzlies, doesn't it?

[...]

If Sarah Palin's so dumb and silly, why is it you who are dressed up in the bear costumes?

Redundapundit chimes in:

Ewokie’s List finally came out with their ‘attack’ on Sarah Palin. And let me just say, it’s a very sad day for Mama Ewoks. Or for people who dress up in bear suits. Is this what liberals did when they went to the, er, Coffee Parties that were so fabulously successful at energizing liberals to counter the Tea Party? Yeah, well, it gets hot in those Ewok suits!

KingShamus points out the obvious -- how the femi-leftists beclowned themselves with their pathetic ad:

Did EMILY’s List think Sarah Palin was taking her metaphor of the ‘Mamma Grizzly’ literally?

I guess it’s up to me to point out that Mrs. Palin never donned a cheap bear costume, put some black-out paint around her eyes and delivered a speech about the maternal instincts of conservative women.

The only people who look like amateur hour clowns are the gals that EMILY’s list roped into starring in this goofy exercise.

And Brian Faughnan has the exit question:

Isn’t it a little demeaning to portray professional women in these ridiculous costumes?

Well, yeah. What struck us is the contrast between SarahPAC's beautifully done Mama Grizzly ad and the embarrassingly childish ad that Ewok's... er, Emily's List shot poor Emily in the foot with.

EPIC FAIL

Bereft of Solutions and Ideas, The GOP Gins Up Controversy

The GOP obviously has little of substance to offer to the voters because the Republicans are far more focused on fanning the flames of controversy than they are with crafting solutions to repair our busted economy and create new jobs.

Republican politicians must have absolutely no constructive ideas or rationally based proposals for meeting the challenges of our financial miseries and woes. The sound of silence coming from the GOP campaign in this regard has been deafening for some time.

The Republican Party has refused to participate in crafting constructive legislation on any level, no matter what has been placed on the table.

Health care reform.
Hell no. Let patient's die so health insurance companies can improve their profits.

Finance Reform.
Hell no, Please God no, HELL NO! Our closest and dearest donors, YIKES, we mean friends, live on Wall St.

Hold BP responsible for the horrible mess it made in the Gulf of Mexico.
You must be bleeping kidding? Are you Democrats NUTS? Oh God, we are doomed.

Texas Republicans crawled on their knees, groveled and begged BP for forgiveness.
We love you, Big Sugar Daddy.

So, what is a Groveling Minority Party of No Solutions, No Substance, No Ideas to do during an election cycle?

The Party's puppet masters, spin doctors and ventriloquists have crafted a plan and it is so typically Republican that it would be laughable, were it not so very potentially dangerous on both a domestic and foreign policy level.

A plan that only the desperate and self-serving could construct: Unleash McCarthyism at its very worse.

Gin up conflict. Throw barrels of gasoline on a wedge issue that pulls at folk's emotional hot buttons. Distract and terrify the masses with manufactured issues that have little basis in reality. Pit people against one another. Divide and conquer. This is part of the GOP strategy and has been for some time. What else has the GOP to offer voters? Tax cuts for the rich? Endless oil wars with the Middle East? The enabling of Wall St. to behave more as gambling casinos than banks and investment firms? More BP catastrophic oil spills in the Gulf?

Eventually the GOP's ineptitude and hate baiting has got to come back and smack it between the eyes. It has already alienated many African Americans especially during the right wing's ruthless witch hunt after ACORN and later the character assassination of Shirley Sherrod. Now it is on a crusade to demonize Hispanics with the Republican's disgusting rhetoric about repealing the 14th Amendment. And most recently the GOP has just lumped all Muslims into one category, i.e. all are terrorists. Next the GOP will declare another ideological warfare on Asians for God knows why.

The latest ginned up GOP hoopla of distraction is based on the construction of a mosque in lower Manhattan near Ground Zero, the scene of the 9/11 attacks in 2001.

The author of the article cited above, Pamela K. Taylor, is co-founder of Muslims for Progressive Values, former director of the Islamic Writers Alliance and strong supporter of the woman imam movement.

Below is an excerpt from Ms. Taylor's article in the Washington Post.

As for the Christians who have been attacking not only this mosque, but ones planned in Tennessee, California, Wisconsin, and Michigan, or the existing one in Bridgeport, CT which has had to deal with Christian picketers shouting at people as they go in for congregational prayers... it is time for you to learn that Islam is not going away. You will not be successful in converting the entire Muslim world, not to mention the Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Sikh, etc worlds, or even the rest of the Christian world to your theology.

It would be a far better use of your time and energy to learn to respect these other traditions and to work together with us to make the world a better place, rather than picketing and yelling ugly slogans at innocent people. If nothing else, you might do better at converting us if you followed my mom's advice that you attract more bees with honey than vinegar. Telling us that Islam is from the devil, teaches violence, and hates women, dogs, singing, etc, etc, etc is just so blatantly misinformed, hateful and unwelcoming that you aren't likely to attract many people, whether it be Muslims, or folks from other faiths who might be considering embracing Islam.

Similarly blind are the Republicans who have jumped on the Muslims-are-the-seat-of-all-evil bandwagon. It may buy them some votes in the short run, but in the long run bigotry and hatred are not values upon which to build a sound base. McCarthy who once had so much power is now repudiated as a manipulative, fear-mongering, reckless demagogue who should have been shut down much sooner than he was. Republicans who are currently resorting to the same sort of frantic, baseless, mudslinging and demagoguery should look to the past to see where it is going to get them. It would also behoove them to study the history of those whose lives were destroyed by McCarthy -- do you really want to be responsible for destroying the civil and human rights of millions of innocent Muslim American citizens?

Both of these groups are also playing into the hands of Muslim extremists. Even if the mosque/cultural center is eventually built on the site near Ground Zero, irreparable damage has been done. Newspapers all over the Muslim world, and of course the internet, are abuzz with horrific quotes about Islam or Muslims from some of the top leaders in our country, starting with Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich. It is almost like their speeches are calculated to start a war between Muslims and the West. When America abandons her traditional values of pluralism and freedom of religion, that is when she cultivates enemies. When she abandons them with such vitriol and hatred as we've seen coming from certain segments of the Republican party and the Christian right, she's going to make a lot of enemies.

Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich should be called out for their reckless and irresponsible rhetoric. Yesterday, Gingrich compared Muslims to Nazis. Seriously. But don't expect Fox "News" and other GOP water carriers in the media to step up to the plate. All have too much to gain by throwing yet more gasoline on the fires of fear. This should be crystal clear given the fact that the parent corporation of Fox "News" recently donated $1 million bucks to Republican gubernatorial candidates. Fox "News" is no longer "news" and never has been. We can now safely call it the official propaganda arm for the Republican Party.

We have already had one clueless and insensitive President in the area of foreign affairs. He appointed neocon hawks as his Vice President and Secretary of Defense. These are the goons that lied us into an unnecessary war with Iraq. We continue to live with the consequences of George W. Bush's appalling and treacherous bullying cowboy "diplomacy." The ginned up war has all but broken our backs, killed and maimed thousands upon thousands and has busted our economy.

This is one typical heckofajob for the GOP. This is what the party does. They hate the government to the point that as soon as Republicans are elected they cut their wrecking crews loose on day 1.

The very last thing this country needs is another re-run of the horror show called the Bush Administration. This is especially true when the leading stars are far right wing extremists Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich.

The GOP is for nothing that would repair our economy and create jobs. It is against everything that provides a safety net and security for the vast majority of the American people.

The GOP has become the party of no with no ideas, no solutions and one that lacks an ethical backbone. It has become morally bankrupt to the point that it thrives on manufactured fear mongering, race baiting and whose only purpose is to serve themselves and a fraction of the population. In its present form the Republican Party is not fit to govern.

Chris Matthews: "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" or even worse "Sarah Palin might be our next President!"

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Clearly Chris Matthews does not keep up with the tabloids and gossip sites or he would be more aware of the information that MOST voters in this country are currently receiving about Sarah Palin and her family.

And yes he is right that fundamentalists Christians, those people who have been encouraged all of their lives to believe rather than to think, will most likely support Palin by the thousands.  However outside of that Biblical bubble she remains incredibly toxic.

Look Chris Matthews tends to be a very excitable guy. And yes Palin is somebody who causes a very visceral response from people. But the reason that MOST Americans pay any attention to her at all is not because they are seriously considering her as a leader to look up to, but rather because they see her as a sideshow freak who has wandered away from the circus tent and is now walking among the regular folk.

I mean sure among the Jerry Springer show participants, and the people who learn how to live their lives by watching reality shows on television, she must seem like their queen.  But among the Americans who really want the best for this country she is a cautionary tale used to illustrate just how stupid certain people are that a politician like her can garner ANY support at all.

The really amazing thing is that Chris Matthews and other political pundits don't seem to realize that she doesn't even WANT the job!

Sarah Palin has no intention of really trying to win the presidency and running this country.  Are you kidding?  Do you know how HARD that job is?

She just wants to run for the job, and get the opportunity to stand in front of hand picked adoring fans, ride around in a campaign bus, and trot out her incredibly dysfunctional family for all of her crazed right wing supporters to admire. "Oh look Cletus! Both of her daughters are pregnant now!  And that older boy has that same crazy look in his eyes that your cousin Billy Bob had before he started strangling Gramma's chickens that last Fourth of July!  Ain't they just wonderful?"

Oh yeah Sarah will be right in her element up until people start taking the fun out of it by asking her "gotcha questions" and demanding that she "know things".  When that happens she will have to drop out because:

A) She decides that she can have more of an influence on this country without a title. (After all can a president get HIS kids on the cover of People magazine, US Weekly, The National Enquirer, and "Hot Poppin Mamas" all in the SAME week?  No I didn't think so!)

B) She quits to spend more time with her family. (Ha ha ha!  Sorry that one just cracks me up!)

C) God speaks to her and convinces her to start her own church, open to everybody except brown people, Democrats, and the "lame stream" media.  You know, only "real Amerikuns" allowed.

You just watch and see.  If Sarah Palin can even get to the first round of debates among the GOP contenders it will be nothing short of a miracle. But you know I kind of hope she does. I cannot think of a better night of television than watching the Republicans who have watched helplessly as she has done everything in he power to help destroy their party finally get the chance to rip her to shreds in front of the national media.

You know that reminds me, I need more popcorn.
