This is the proper way to sterilize using a pressure cooker, the tips and grips HAVE to be out of the water or it wont do it properly TAKE NO CHANCES...also dont put the weight on untill steam starts coming out(if ya havent got a steam purge and safety valve) you have to purge the air out...wipe out water after use or mold spores will grow...
