Greetings and positive intentions for all of you!
This week has started out full speed ahead! I got a text yesterday while on my bike ride from my bike fitter, Wade. He told me to meet him at the bike shop in Santa Cruz at 8:45 this morning. Wade checked my settings and then we head out on a one hour ride so he could watch my posture, my position on the seat and then make adjustments. After all that, he determined my bike seat was just a tad high. He lowered the seat a mere 2 mm and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I adjusted my posture on the bike seat and cycled with him for over an hour without any pain in my pelvic bones. Usually after 15 minutes, I am feeling the pain. For the first time since I got the bike, I actually feel normal on the bike. This is what I have been intending so I am pleased.
I got home at about 10 AM and set my mind to working on finishing my corporate taxes for 2009. My accountant has been on me for the last two months to get the job done. We filed an extension so it really isn't due until September 15th. It took me two hours, but I got it all done and emailed it to the accountant at NOON. After lunch UPS delivered my new bike computer which I have now installed partially. It is going to be wonderful! I have attached the holder to the bike. Now all I have to do is hook up the cadence monitor which includes two magnets, one for the pedal and one for the spokes on the rear tire. The magnet sensor is mounted on the bike itself. It monitors everything. Garmin Edge 705
Ennui is doing great. He still has three days of antibiotics left.
Today is supposed to be my rest day so I am taking it easy. I am seeing three patients today. I am short on my carbohydrates today so I have a fair amount of carb eating to do.
Slowly but surely I am working on all the things on my to do list. Ennui's illness put me behind on all my work. I will catch up.
The best is yet to come!
Love, peace and appreciation,
Fran
