Friday Confessions-A day in my life sans pictures

I woke up and and said, "YAY! It's Madley Date Day! We get to be alone!
I went ooh la wee wee.
I brushed my African Bush Monkey hair.
I washed my face in cold water.
I put on my sweats and socks.
I went downstairs.
I heated up my rice woobie in the microwave oven.
I opened up all the windows in the house to celebrate the coolness outside.
I made my chocolate soy milk and took my medicine and vitamins with it.
I played Yoville on Facebook.
I made hot cocoa for my granddaughters.
I wrote some of my book on my computer.
I kissed Madley goodbye as he went to the gym.
I listened to Little Indy make breakfast for her girls.
She put the dishes away.
I read.
I put dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
I went up to make the bed, Madley had already made it.
I kissed the girls goodbye.
I read.
I picked my toes.
I ate a Hershey Kiss.
I drooled over recipes on Tasty Kitchen.
I filed a fingernail.
I kissed Madley hello when he walked in from the gym.
I took a shower.
I got ready for my date day.
I started a load of laundry.
I watched Madley package up some car rims he sold on Craig's List.
I kissed Madley goodbye as he left to send them off at UPS.
I read.
I kissed Madley hello when he returned the UPS store.
I put the laundry in the dryer.
Madley got ready.
I shut all the windows and locked up.
I said goobye to my dad as he left for who knows whereville.
I carried stuff to the car for Madley and got in.
We drove away.
I ate veggie sushi with Madley for lunch.
I stuffed my fortune cookie in my purse.
We went ooh la wee wee.
We drove to the car dealership and browsed.
We met a girl with the same name as Madley.
We laughed.
We sat in cars I want... then in cars Madley wants.
We gave our pro and con arguments about which car is best to the sales Lady with a boy's name.
She smiled and nodded.
We didn't buy a car.
I went ooh la wee wee.
We got in our old car and drove away.
I ate my fortune cookie.
We drove to IKEA.
We got frozen yogurt cones.
We walked around IKEA eating them.
We found the towel rack we wanted but they were out of them.
We went ooh la wee wee.
We left IKEA.
We needed gas. We drove until we almost ran out of gas looking for a station and then hit traffic.
Madley pulled over so I could drive.
Traffic makes him crazy.
My car said we had 8 miles to go before we would run out of gas. Madley found a gas station on his iPhone app. We turned around and found said gas station.
We got gas. They pump it for you in Oregon.
I put on lip gloss while we waited.
Madley washed my windows.
We left the gas station full and happy.
I drove a different way and found less traffic.
Madley ignored the traffic by playing a game on his iPhone.
We finally arrived home.
I went ooh la wee wee.
I made tuna sammies.
We ate tuna sammies.
We watched Pawn Stars and Master Chef.
I ate 4 8 Hershey Kisses.
Madley went to bed.
The girls and I cleaned up.
I typed this up for you.
I played yoville on Facebook.
I read.

When every day was perfect and you knew it would last forever

Tonight I went back in time almost 20 years. Back to college and back to my first love.

In June 2008 our basement was affected by the floods. It wasn't horrible, but it caused enough damage that Patrick had to pull up the carpet and rip out cabinets. Things were packed into boxes and placed in overhead cabinets and in the garage - anywhere we could find empty space. One month later Griffin was born and everything changed. The carpet and cabinets were reinstalled, but no one really had time to go through those boxes. This afternoon I pulled out a box labelled "Books" and found spiral bound copies of my master's thesis, various school papers, and a composition book. The second I saw the cover of it, I knew what it was. I hadn't opened it in years, and the spine cracked when I did. What I found transported me back to a time in my life when responsibilities were few and my emotions were high.

I've kept journals since I was 14 years old, but this book was different. It was filled with handwritten letters that I never sent to my very first love. When I wrote them, I never intended to send them to him. It was just my way of dealing with all of my emotions.

I started reading them and I couldn't stop:

October 5, 1992

I often think about that one night last year - almost one year ago to be exact. We went for a walk to the park. It seemed like we were there forever. We went on the swings and I jumped off and you chased me. That old man walking his dog stopped us to say how beautiful the night was. We laid down in the grass and talked for hours. I remember how infinite the universe seemed. I felt like I was floating, hovering over the world. We talked until the sky turned the blue that falls somewhere between night and day.

That was 18 years ago. He and I don't speak anymore. We had a weird fight on the phone a number of years ago - a misunderstanding, I guess. I was too proud to call him and he was too scared to call me. So we never spoke after that.

He was the first person I sat and talked with for hours on end. He was the standard on which I judged all other relationships. He was my best friend for so many years. Sometimes, like tonight, I miss him.

Random thoughts on Blogging

Blogging has been a funny thing for me.

Sometimes it is my release, sometimes a burden.

Being an introvert, it is not always able to put myself out there; this is a way for me to discuss my life and thoughts to others without pushing myself or my views on them. Readers can choose to read, comment, skim or just look at pictures.

Usually I blog for myself, sometimes it is for others to be caught up in my life, for grandparents, friends, family, long lost friends, and some perfect strangers, to see pictures and updates of my family.

I go through stages where I blog a lot
then I get burned out.

Does anyone even read this?
What is the point?
I want to document our lives; I want to post pictures so everyone can see my children without sending mass amounts of e-mails.
I don’t want to bore my readers, I don’t want to offend with my thoughts, I just want to share.

Admittedly, it is a struggle at times, there are things I think about and want to share, but become afraid of saying the wrong thing or exposing too much of myself.

Do others want to read my thoughts or should I just post pictures to look at?
Do I share too much of my life?
Not enough?
I have to find the right balance for myself.

Ultimately this is my outlet,
This is for me.
I must remember my purpose.

This is my blog,
this is my family’s journey,
open for viewers to see.

This is my life.

randomness.2

I was moved to a different site again and was picked to attend in some attitude slash values enhancement workshop last week. I met a lot of “laking aircon” (rich kids) on their early twenty’s, practiced my English conversational skills (that is constant use of “yeah”, “u-huh” and the likes) and engaged in some team building slash survival slash parlor game activities. That explains why I've been MIA (missing in action) for a couple of days.

I am still doing my “Road to One Hundred Push-ups” program. I just finished my 5th week. Two weeks to go and I am supposed to do 100 push up on one set. Sad to say, I am still struggling to complete 50 consecutive counts. Damn!

On contrary to my push up program, I am starting to eat like a pig again. My love handles are starting to be evident once more and my lower abdomen is beginning to bulge. I think I better have a tummy tuck procedure done. As if I have the money!

I always wanted to have at least an ear piercing way way back on my teenage years, but since my parents is against the idea, I just shelved it behind my brain until I forget about it. After more than 15 years, I finally had my very first!

Now, I am thinking of having an INK next
